4. Maintenance and Care

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Desiontal DK10, please observe the following maintenance guidelines:

  • Waterproof and Dustproof: The DK10 features an IP54 rating, providing protection against dust and splashes of water. The internal soft silicone sealing ring enhances its waterproof, sandproof, anti-vibration, and anti-pressure capabilities. However, avoid submerging the device in water.
  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store the DK10 in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Device not recognized:
    • Ensure the Type-C cable is securely connected to both the DK10 and your host device.
    • Try connecting to a different USB port on your device.
    • Verify that your operating system is compatible (Windows 7+, MacOS 10+, iPad OS, Linux, Android).
    • Test with a different Type-C cable if available.
  • Card not reading:
    • Ensure the memory card is fully and correctly inserted into the reading slot.
    • Check if the memory card itself is damaged or corrupted by testing it in another device.
    • Verify the card type is compatible with the DK10 (UHS-I/II, SD/TF/Micro SDXC/SDHC).
  • Slow transfer speeds:
    • Ensure your host device's USB port supports USB 3.0 or higher for optimal speeds. Connecting to a USB 2.0 port will result in slower transfer rates.
    • Actual speeds can vary based on the host device, memory card quality, interface, and file formats.
