5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Headphones

  1. Connect the provided charging cable to the charging port on the headphones.
  2. Connect the other end of the charging cable to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
  3. The indicator light will show the charging status. It typically takes approximately 2 hours for a full charge.
  4. Once fully charged, disconnect the charging cable.

Note: Ensure the charging port is dry before charging to prevent damage.

5.2 Pairing with a Bluetooth Device

  1. Power On: Press and hold the Multi-function button (usually the power button) on the headphones until you hear a voice prompt (e.g., "Power On") and the indicator light starts flashing, typically alternating red and blue, indicating pairing mode.
  2. Activate Bluetooth: On your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device, go to the Bluetooth settings and turn on Bluetooth.
  3. Search for Devices: Your device will automatically search for nearby Bluetooth devices.
  4. Select "DACOM ATHLETE": From the list of available devices, select "DACOM ATHLETE" to connect.
  5. Confirmation: Once successfully paired, you will hear a voice prompt (e.g., "Connected") and the indicator light will typically flash blue slowly.
  6. Reconnect: After initial pairing, the headphones will automatically attempt to reconnect to the last paired device when powered on and within range.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the Multi-function button for approximately 3 seconds until the indicator light flashes and you hear "Power On".
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Multi-function button for approximately 5 seconds until the indicator light turns off and you hear "Power Off".

6.2 Music Playback

  • Play/Pause: Press the Multi-function button once.
  • Next Track: Press and hold the Volume Up (+) button.
  • Previous Track: Press and hold the Volume Down (-) button.

6.3 Call Management

  • Answer/End Call: Press the Multi-function button once.
  • Reject Call: Press and hold the Multi-function button for approximately 2 seconds.
  • Redial Last Number: Double-press the Multi-function button.

6.4 Volume Control

  • Increase Volume: Press the Volume Up (+) button.
  • Decrease Volume: Press the Volume Down (-) button.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the headphones with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure the headphones are completely dry before use or charging.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the headphones in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The flexible design allows for easy, tangle-free storage.
  • Water Resistance: The headphones are rated IPX5 waterproof, meaning they are protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction. They are sweatproof and suitable for exercise in light rain, but should not be submerged in water. Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the headphones frequently. Charge them regularly, even if not used for extended periods.
