1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient installation, operation, and maintenance of your Anern Hybrid Solar Inverter. This all-in-one inverter combines the functions of an inverter, solar charger, and battery charger, offering uninterrupted power support for various applications. It supports operation both with and without a battery.

The Anern Hybrid Solar Inverter is designed to convert DC power from solar panels or batteries into AC power for household and office loads. It features a pure sine wave output, ensuring compatibility with sensitive electronics.

  • Ensure all wiring is performed by qualified personnel.
  • Do not connect the battery after the utility is turned on.
  • Verify correct polarity when connecting batteries and solar panels.
  • Do not disassemble the inverter. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
  • Keep the inverter away from flammable materials and ensure adequate ventilation.
  • Always disconnect all power sources (solar, battery, utility) before performing any maintenance or wiring.

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Unboxing

Carefully unpack the inverter and inspect it for any damage. Ensure all components listed in the packing list are present.

4.2 Physical Installation

The inverter should be mounted vertically on a sturdy surface in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture. Ensure sufficient clearance around the unit for proper airflow.

  • Dimensions: Approximately 450mm (Height) x 350mm (Width) x 110mm (Depth).
  • Weight: Approximately 12KG.

4.3 Wiring Diagram and Connections

Follow the detailed wiring diagram carefully. All connections must be secure and correctly polarized to prevent damage to the inverter or connected devices.

4.3.1 Battery Connection

  • Battery Type: 48V Lead Acid/Lithium Battery.
  • Recommended cable and terminal sizes: 2 AWG / Cable: 25mm².
  • Recommended fuse: 100A.
  • The inverter supports various battery types including GEL, FLD, Li-ion, and AGM.

4.3.2 Solar Panel Connection (PV Input)

  • PV power: 6200W (for 6.2KW model) & 4200W (for 4.2KW model).
  • Max. PV idle voltage: 500VDC.
  • MPPT Voltage range: 90VDC-450VDC.
  • Start-up voltage (initial charging): 120VDC.
  • Recommended cable: 10 AWG / 6mm².
  • It is recommended to switch solar panels in series.

4.3.3 AC Input (Utility/Generator)

  • AC input: 230VDC.
  • Maximum AC input voltage: 300VAC.
  • Max. AC-I adestrom: 120A.
  • Recommended cable: 10AWG / 6mm².
  • Recommended interrupter: 63A.

4.3.4 AC Output (Loads)

  • AC output power: 6200W (for 6.2KW model).
  • AC output voltage: 220V/230V.
  • Recommended cable: 10AWG / 6mm².
  • Recommended interrupter: 63A.
  • NOTE: The output of the inverter is 230V, and you can use a converter (not included) for 110V devices.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Ensure all connections are secure. Turn on the battery breaker, then the solar panel breaker, and finally the AC input breaker (if connected). Press the On/Off switch on the inverter.
  • To Power Off: Reverse the power-on sequence. First, turn off the AC output breaker, then the AC input breaker, followed by the solar panel breaker, and finally the battery breaker.

5.2 LCD Display and Function Keys

The LCD display provides real-time information about the system status, including input voltage, output voltage, battery charge, and load. Use the function keys (up, down, enter, escape) to navigate through menus and adjust settings.

5.3 Charging Modes

The inverter offers four selectable charging modes to optimize battery charging based on your energy sources:

  • Solar Priority: Solar power is prioritized for charging the battery.
  • Utility Priority: Utility power is prioritized for charging the battery.
  • Solar & Utility: Both solar and utility power are used to charge the battery.
  • Battery & Solar: Battery power is used first, then supplemented by solar.

5.4 Output Modes

The inverter supports three output modes to manage power delivery to your loads:

  • Solar Priority: Solar power is used first to power loads.
  • Utility Priority: Utility power is used first to power loads.
  • SBU Mode (Solar-Battery-Utility): Solar power is used first, then battery power, and finally utility power as a last resort.

5.5 WiFi Monitoring

The inverter supports WiFi monitoring, allowing you to control and monitor the system's operation via a mobile phone application (IOS and Android compatible).

6. Maintenance

  • Regularly inspect all wiring connections for tightness and corrosion.
  • Keep the inverter's ventilation openings clear of dust and debris. The intelligent variable speed fan helps dissipate heat efficiently.
  • Clean the exterior of the inverter with a dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners.
  • Monitor the LCD display for any error codes or warnings.
  • Ensure batteries are maintained according to their manufacturer's guidelines.
