Installation Instructions
The installation process is straightforward. Ensure you have the necessary tools (e.g., drill, screwdriver, measuring tape, pencil) before you begin.
- Determine Mounting Location: The door closer is typically mounted on the top edge of the door frame and the door itself. Ensure there is sufficient space for the arm to extend and retract without obstruction. Refer to the dimension diagrams (Figures 3 and 4) for guidance on hole spacing and overall size.
- Mark Drill Holes:
- Position the main body bracket on the door frame and mark the screw holes. The bracket has a height of approximately 64mm and a width of 37mm, with hole spacing of 22mm.
- Position the arm bracket on the door and mark the screw holes. The arm is approximately 59mm long and 17mm wide, with hole spacing between 20-31mm depending on the model.
- Drill Pilot Holes: Using an appropriate drill bit for your door and frame material, drill pilot holes at the marked locations.
- Mount Brackets: Securely attach the main body bracket to the door frame and the arm bracket to the door using the provided screws.
- Attach Door Closer Unit: Connect the main body of the door closer to its bracket and the arm to its bracket. Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
- Test Operation: Gently open and close the door to ensure the closer operates smoothly and without binding.

Operating Instructions
Automatic Closing
Once installed, the door closer will automatically close the door after it has been opened. The hydraulic buffer ensures a controlled and quiet closing action.
Adjusting Closing Speed
The closing speed can be adjusted using the regulating valve screw located on the door closer unit.
- To increase the buffer (slow down closing speed), turn the screw clockwise.
- To increase the closing speed (decrease buffer), turn the screw counterclockwise.

Using the Positioning Stop (10-100 Degrees)
This door closer features a positioning buckle that allows you to hold the door open at any angle between 10 and 100 degrees. To engage the stop:
- Open the door to your desired angle (within 10-100 degrees).
- Engage the positioning buckle (card buckle) to secure the door in the open position.
- To release, simply push the door slightly further open or close it, disengaging the buckle.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your door closer, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Regular Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior of the door closer and its components with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and grime. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Check Fasteners: Periodically inspect all mounting screws and connections to ensure they remain tight. Tighten any loose screws to prevent wobbling or misalignment.
- Lubrication: The internal hydraulic mechanism is sealed and does not require lubrication. Do not attempt to open the main cylinder.
- Inspect for Wear: Check the arm and brackets for any signs of wear, bending, or damage. Replace any damaged parts immediately.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your door closer, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Door closes too fast/slow | Incorrect speed adjustment | Adjust the regulating valve screw (Figure 6). Clockwise for slower, counterclockwise for faster. |
| Door does not close completely | Misalignment or obstruction | Check for any physical obstructions. Ensure the closer is properly aligned and all screws are tight. |
| Door makes noise during operation | Loose fasteners or worn parts | Tighten all mounting screws. Inspect for any worn or damaged components. |
| Positioning stop not holding | Improper engagement or worn buckle | Ensure the door is opened within the 10-100 degree range and the buckle is fully engaged. If the buckle is worn, consider replacing the unit. |
User Tips
- Outdoor Use: This door closer is suitable for both internal and external doors. For outdoor installations, ensure regular checks for debris or weather-related wear.
- Door Weight Consideration: While the maximum bearing capacity is 35 KG, optimal performance is achieved with doors weighing between 15-30 KG.
- Smooth Operation: If the door feels stiff or jerky, try adjusting the closing speed slightly to find the ideal balance for your door's weight and hinges.
