8. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues and provides solutions. If problems persist, please consult a qualified technician.

8.1. Cannot Boot Normally

  1. Wiring Check: Ensure the Yellow (constant +12V), Red (ACC +12V switched), and Black (ground) wires are correctly connected. Incorrect or incomplete connections will prevent the unit from booting.
  2. Fuse Check: Verify if the fuse on the Yellow wire is intact. If broken, replace it. If the fuse is fine, try twisting the Yellow and Red wires together, then turn the ignition key and press the unit's power button.
  3. Short Circuit Protection: If fuses repeatedly blow, the unit's protection circuit may have short-circuited. Professional repair is needed.
  4. Original Car Wiring: Do not directly plug the original car harness into the new unit without verifying compatibility. Use the provided power cords.

8.2. Automatic Shut-down

  1. Incorrect Cable Connection: If the blue (automatic antenna power supply) cable is connected to the unit's power cable, automatic shutdown will occur. Correct the wiring.
  2. Unstable Voltage: Test the power supply with a stable 12V-5A source. If the unit still shuts down, the power supply is faulty. If it works correctly with a stable power supply, the unit itself may have an issue.

8.3. Noise Issues

  1. Speaker Power: If the original speaker power is too low, noise may occur at high volumes. Avoid excessively high volumes.
  2. Grounded Speaker Cable: Connect the speaker cable directly to the unit's speaker cable, ensuring it is not grounded elsewhere.

8.4. Remote Control Not Working

Use your phone camera to check the remote control's IR emitter. Point the remote at the camera and press a button; if you see a light flash on your phone screen, the remote is transmitting. If not, replace the AAA batteries.

8.5. Settings Not Saved (No Memory)

  1. Wiring Error: The Yellow (constant +12V) and Red (ACC +12V switched) wires are either connected together or reversed. Ensure Yellow is to constant +12V and Red is to switched +12V.

8.6. Bluetooth Not Working

Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both the unit and your phone. Search for the unit's Bluetooth name (SWL-BT) and connect. If issues persist, try resetting the unit.

8.7. Product Emits Smoke

Immediately replace the FUSE. If the problem is not resolved, the internal circuit may be burned. Seek after-sales service.

8.8. Sound Cannot Be Adjusted / No Sound

  1. No Sound After Installation: This is usually due to wiring errors or a short-circuited speaker wire. Check speaker wiring for shorts and reconnect. Ensure the correct number of speaker cables are connected (e.g., 4 speaker cables for 2 speakers).
  2. No Sound After A While: Disconnect all speaker cables from the unit and connect an external speaker to the gray and purple wires of the unit's tail line. If sound, the car's speaker line is short-circuited or the speaker is damaged. If no sound, the unit is faulty.
  3. Volume Knob: If the volume knob is broken, it may need replacement.
  4. Reset: Try resetting the unit or unplugging and replugging the power cord.

8.9. Reversing Camera Not Displaying

This is often due to incorrect or missing wiring. Refer to the "Reversing Camera Installation" section for correct wiring. If the camera is properly wired but not lit, it may be faulty and require replacement.

8.10. USB Devices Cannot Be Played

Format the USB flash drive to FAT32. Re-download media files and try again. If the issue persists, replace the USB flash drive.

8.11. FM Does Not Receive Radio Stations

Ensure the antenna plug is fully inserted and the antenna is not disconnected or faulty. Try searching for stations using the "AS" (Auto Store) button. If problems persist, try inserting a screwdriver or metal strip into the antenna port as a temporary antenna.

8.12. Restore to Factory Settings

If CarPlay, Android Auto, or Mirrorlink connections are abnormal, you can restore factory settings via: "Basic Settings" -> "Restore Factory" -> Select "YES". If a reset button is available on the panel, pressing it will also restore factory settings.
