3. Setup Guide
3.1. Battery Installation and Charging
- Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the camera.
- Insert the 1050mAh battery, ensuring the correct orientation.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
- To charge, connect the camera to a USB power source using the provided Type-C cable. The charging time is approximately 2 hours.

3.2. Memory Card Installation
- Locate the memory card slot on the side of the camera.
- Insert a MicroSD / TF card (up to 128GB, Class 10 or higher recommended) with the contacts facing the correct direction until it clicks into place.
- To remove, gently push the card until it pops out.
3.3. Waterproof Case Usage
The camera comes with a dedicated waterproof case, allowing it to be used up to 30 meters underwater. Before each use, ensure the diving box is tightly sealed. The camera itself is not waterproof without the diving box, and the remote control is not waterproof.

3.4. Remote Control Pairing
The camera supports remote control for convenient operation. Refer to the remote control's specific instructions for pairing with your camera.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Power On/Off
Press and hold the Power/Mode button (usually on the front or top) for a few seconds to turn the camera on or off.
4.2. Screen Operation
The camera features a 1.4-inch high-definition front screen for real-time preview and a 2.0-inch rear touch screen for convenient shooting and settings adjustment. To switch between the front and rear screens, long-press the downward button on the side of the camera. Note that the two screens cannot work simultaneously.

4.3. Recording Modes and Features
The CRS40 offers multiple recording modes and features:
- Video Resolution: Supports 5K 30FPS, 4K 60FPS, 4K 30FPS, 2.7K 60FPS, 2.7K 30FPS, 1080P 60FPS, 1080P 30FPS, 720P 120FPS, 720P 60FPS, 720P 30FPS.
- Video Format: MP4 (H.264 encoding).
- Photo Resolution: Up to 50MP (also 30MP, 24MP, 20MP, 8MP).
- Photo Modes: Single, Burst, P-Timelapse, Self-Time, Long Exposure.
- Wide Angle: 170° adjustable (Wide, Medium, Narrow) for a comprehensive view.
- Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS): Super 6-axis anti-shake system for smoother video. Note: EIS is not available in 5K 30FPS and 720P 120FPS modes.

4.4. Special Functions
- Pre-Record: Captures video before you press the record button, ensuring you don't miss crucial moments. Available durations vary by resolution (e.g., 3s for 5K/30FPS, 25s for 1080/30FPS).
- WiFi Connection: Connect to your mobile phone via a dedicated app to view footage, transmit video wirelessly, download, and share to social media.
- Webcam Mode: Connect the camera to your computer using the USB data cable to use it as a webcam for live streaming, online education, meetings, and other scenarios.
- Car Mode: Activates auto video recording and loop recording features. The camera automatically turns on to record when the car starts. Attach it to car accessories to transform it into a car recorder.

5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the camera body and lens. For stubborn dirt, use a specialized lens cleaning solution.
- Battery Care: Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid exposing the camera or battery to extreme temperatures outside the operating range of -10°C to +55°C.
- Waterproof Case: After using the waterproof case in saltwater, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and let it air dry. Regularly check the O-ring seal for any damage or debris.
- Storage: When storing the camera for extended periods, remove the battery and keep the camera in a dry, dust-free environment.
6. Troubleshooting
- Camera not turning on: Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted.
- Recording issues: Check if the memory card is inserted correctly, has sufficient space, and is of a compatible type (MicroSD/TF, up to 128GB, Class 10 or higher).
- Poor image/video quality: Ensure the lens is clean and free from smudges. Check the selected resolution and frame rate settings.
- WiFi connection problems: Ensure the camera's WiFi is enabled and your mobile device is within range. Restart both devices and try connecting again.
- Remote control not working: Check the remote control's battery. Ensure it is properly paired with the camera.
