3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Smart Home Control Center
The X5 gateway acts as the brain of your smart home, enabling linkage control of intelligent equipment. It supports both Bluetooth Mesh (SIG) and Zigbee 3.0 protocols, allowing you to connect a wide range of smart devices.

3.2 Device Capacity and Coverage
The gateway ensures stable control for a large number of devices:
- Bluetooth Mesh 5.0: Supports stable control of up to 200 devices.
- Zigbee 3.0: Supports stable control of over 200 devices.
In total, the gateway can manage over 400 devices, ensuring compatibility and stable operation with data exchange and interoperability among all sub-devices.

The enhanced signal coverage provides a transmission distance of 150-200m and can cross 1-3 floors or 1-3 concrete walls, making it suitable for various environments like large apartments, smart offices, libraries, and villas.
3.3 Gateway Data Migration
The X5 gateway supports data migration, allowing you to transfer devices from an old gateway to a new one with a single click on the cloud. This feature ensures real-time online distribution and storage of data, eliminating the need to reassign all sub-devices or redistribute the network.

Note: Gateway data migration requires that both the old and new gateways have migration functions.
3.4 Offline Scene Mode
The gateway supports offline scene mode, meaning that pre-configured automation scenarios can still be performed even if there is no internet connection.

4. Indicator Light Description
The gateway features two indicators: a network status indicator light and a set-up net indicator light. Their different states indicate various device conditions:
| Indicator Light | Light State | Device Status |
|---|---|---|
| Network Status Indicator Light | Lights out | The network is disconnected. |
| Long bright | Waiting for device to connect. | |
| Flickering | Data transmission. | |
| Set-up Net Indicator Light | Lights out | Active. |
| Long bright | Inactive. | |
| Flickering | The device is active, but there is no network. |
5. Troubleshooting
- Device Connection Issues: If you are unable to connect smart devices (e.g., Tuya Smart sockets), ensure they are compatible with either Zigbee 3.0 or Bluetooth Mesh 5.0 protocols. Also, verify that your mobile phone and the gateway are on the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and are in close proximity during the pairing process.
- Network Disconnection: If the network status indicator light is off, check your Ethernet cable connection and your internet router.
- Gateway Migration Failure: If data migration from an old gateway fails, confirm that both the old and new gateways support the migration function.
- Restoring Factory Settings: If the gateway is unresponsive or experiencing persistent issues, long-press the Reset button on the back panel to restore it to factory defaults. Note that this will erase all configurations.
