Operating Instructions

1. Basic Recording

  • The dash cam automatically starts recording when powered on.
  • Recordings are saved to the Micro SD card.

2. Loop Recording

The dash cam records video in continuous loops. When the memory card is full, the oldest unlocked video files are automatically overwritten by new recordings. Critical events protected by the G-Sensor or Parking Monitor will not be overwritten.

Loop Recording automatically overwrites the oldest files when the memory card is full, preserving G-Sensor and Parking Monitoring events.

3. G-Sensor (Emergency Recording)

The built-in G-Sensor detects sudden impacts or collisions. When triggered, it automatically locks the current video segment to prevent it from being overwritten by loop recording. These emergency videos are stored in a separate folder.

4. Parking Monitoring (24H)

With Parking Monitoring enabled, the dash cam will automatically start recording if it detects motion or impact while your vehicle is parked. This feature requires a continuous power supply (e.g., hardwire kit, not included).

Maintenance

1. Memory Card Management

  • Regularly format your Micro SD card (at least once a month) to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. This can usually be done through the dash cam's settings menu or the ELOOK app.
  • Backup important video files to your computer or cloud storage before formatting.

2. Cleaning

  • Wipe the camera lenses with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear recordings.
  • Clean the dash cam body with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.

Troubleshooting

  • Dash Cam not powering on: Check the power connection to the car charger and the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Ensure the vehicle's ignition is on.
  • Recording not starting: Verify that a Micro SD card is properly inserted and formatted. Check if the card is full (though loop recording should prevent this for non-locked files).
  • Poor video quality: Clean the camera lenses. Ensure the dash cam is securely mounted and not vibrating. Check settings for resolution.
  • WiFi connection issues: Ensure the ELOOK app is installed and updated. Restart both the dash cam and your smartphone. Re-establish the WiFi connection in your phone's settings.
  • G-Sensor not triggering: Adjust the G-Sensor sensitivity in the settings. Ensure the dash cam is firmly mounted.
