2. Important Safety Information

• SD Card Requirement: An SD card used with this device must support Class 10 or higher for optimal performance.
• App Server Region: This product is a Chinese version. When connecting to the Mi Home App, please select 'Mainland China' as the APP server region. Servers from other countries are not supported.
• Door Compatibility: The product is suitable for installation on doors with a thickness of 35mm to 110mm and a cat eye aperture diameter of 15mm to 40mm. Ensure your door meets these specifications before installation.

5. Installation Guide

5.1. Remove the Original Cat's Eye

1. Locate the original cat's eye on the outside of the door.
2. Rotate the cat's eye from the inside of the door to remove it. Refer to the illustration below.
3. Select the appropriate length of screws based on your door's thickness using the table provided.

5.2. Install the Cat-Eye Camera

1. Select the appropriate screws based on your door panel thickness. Screw them into the screw holes of the cat's eye camera by approximately 5mm.
2. Remove the protective paper from the back of the camera's adhesive sticker.
3. Pass the screws and wires through the door panel. Ensure the cat-eye camera is square and the doorbell button is at the bottom. Stick the camera firmly onto the door.

5.3. Install the Card Holder (Mount)

1. Remove the card holder from the cat's eye display. Then, remove the wire shield from the card holder.
2. Push the cable connector into the buckle at the bottom of the card holder.
3. Align the screws from the cat's eye camera through the screw holes on the card holder.

5.4. Fix the Card Holder

1. Adjust the card holder so that the screw is securely positioned at the top of the screw hole. Tighten the remaining part of the screw to fix the card holder in place.
2. Organize the wiring neatly and replace the cable shield.

5.5. Install the Cat's Eye Display

1. Align the slide on the card holder and slide the cat's eye display into the card holder from top to bottom. Ensure that the clips on the card holder are fully embedded at the bottom of the cat's eye display.
2. To remove the cat's eye display, push the display upward from the bottom of the mount.

6. App Connection

To connect your Xiaomi Smart Cat Eye 2 to the Mi Home App:

1. Download and install the Mi Home App on your smartphone (Android 8.0+ or iOS 12.0+).
2. Open the Mi Home App and navigate to 'Additional settings'.
3. In the 'Language & region' section, ensure that the region is set to 'Chinese mainland'. This is crucial for the device to function correctly with the app.
