This versatile and portable lighting solution is designed for various photography and videography needs, offering full-color RGB, adjustable color temperature, and multiple special effects. Its magnetic design and 1/4-inch screw holes provide flexible mounting options. Please read this manual carefully to ensure proper use and maintenance of your device.
Setup
1. Charging the Device
The RGB LED Stick Light comes with a built-in rechargeable battery. Before first use, or when the battery is low, charge the device using the provided Type-C charging port.
- Connect a 5V 1A power adapter (not included) to the Type-C charging port on the light stick.
- The display will show the charging status.
- Full charging time is approximately 2-3 hours for the 30cm version and 2-2.5 hours for the 17cm version.
- The light can be used while charging.
2. Mounting Options
The light stick offers flexible mounting solutions:
- Magnetic Adsorption: Both ends of the light stick feature built-in magnets, allowing it to be easily attached to metal surfaces for hands-free lighting.
- 1/4-inch Screw Holes: Each end also includes a universal 1/4-inch screw hole, compatible with standard tripods, handles, selfie sticks, and other photography accessories.
3. Controls Overview
Familiarize yourself with the control buttons and display:
- Type-C Charging Port: For charging the device.
- Switch/Mode Key: Used to power on/off the device and switch between different lighting modes (CCT, HSL, Effect).
- Switch Key: For navigating options or confirming selections within modes.
- Brightness - / +: Adjusts the brightness level.
- Display: Shows current settings such as battery status, brightness, color temperature, hue, saturation, and selected effect.
- Hanging Rope Hole Position: For attaching a lanyard or hanging the light.
- 1/4 Screw Hole: For mounting on tripods or other accessories.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
- Press and hold the Switch/Mode Key to power on or power off the device.
2. Mode Selection
Short press the Switch/Mode Key to cycle through the available lighting modes:
- CCT Mode (Correlated Color Temperature): Adjusts white light from warm to cold.
- HSL Mode (Hue, Saturation, Lightness): Provides full-color RGB control.
- Effect Mode: Activates pre-programmed special lighting effects.
3. Adjusting Settings (Brightness, Color Temperature, HSL)
- Brightness: In any mode, use the Brightness - / + buttons to adjust the light intensity from 0% to 100%.
- Color Temperature (CCT Mode): In CCT mode, use the Brightness - / + buttons to change the color temperature from 2500K (warm light) to 9000K (cold light).
- HSL Mode:
- Use the Switch Key to toggle between adjusting Hue (0-360°), Saturation (0-100), and Brightness (0-100%).
- Use the Brightness - / + buttons to modify the selected parameter.
4. Special Effect Mode
In Effect Mode, you can choose from 21 pre-programmed scene special effects. Use the Switch Key to browse through the effects and the Brightness - / + buttons to adjust parameters if available (e.g., speed or intensity).
Available effects include: Cop car, ambulance, fire alarm, lightning, fireworks, TV, candle, party, fault bulb, pulsing, strobe, RGB strobe, Paparazzi, emergency, H/L beam, red flash, green flash, blue flash, HSI slow, HSI fast.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the light stick with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid completely draining the battery frequently. Recharge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
- Avoid Water: This device is not waterproof. Avoid exposure to water or high humidity.
Troubleshooting
- Device does not turn on:
- Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a power source using the Type-C cable.
- Press and hold the Power/Mode button for a few seconds to ensure it's not just a short press.
- Light output is dim or inconsistent:
- Check the brightness setting using the Brightness +/- buttons.
- Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged. Performance may decrease with low battery.
- Cannot change color or effect:
- Verify you are in the correct mode (CCT, HSL, or Effect) by short-pressing the Switch/Mode key.
- Use the Switch key to cycle through adjustable parameters within HSL or Effect modes.
