Setup Guide
Follow these steps to set up your Insoma WiFi Automatic Sprinkle Timer:
- Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the water timer and insert 2x AA alkaline batteries (1.5V, not included). Ensure correct polarity.
- Power the WiFi Hub: Plug the WiFi Hub (gateway) into a power outlet. Ensure it is within range of your 2.4GHz WiFi router.
- Download and Pair App: Download the 'Smart Life' app from your mobile device's app store. Register or log in. Follow the in-app instructions to pair the WiFi Hub.
- Add Timer to Gateway: Once the WiFi Hub is successfully paired, tap "Add New Device" within the Smart Life app to add the water timer to the gateway. The timer connects to the gateway via RFID technology.
- Install Timer: Connect the water timer to an outdoor hose faucet. Ensure it is tightly secured to prevent leaks.

Important Notes:
- The WiFi Hub requires a 2.4GHz WiFi network. It is not compatible with 5GHz networks.
- For optimal performance, maintain a distance of 3 to 10 meters (approximately 10 to 33 feet) between your WiFi router, the WiFi Hub, and the water timer.
- The Smart Life app is not compatible with tablets.

Operating Instructions
App Remote Control
Once connected to the WiFi Hub, you can control your water timer from anywhere using the Smart Life app. The timer utilizes RFID technology for a stable connection over longer distances (up to 196 ft. from the hub).

Watering Modes
The timer offers two primary irrigation modes:
- Timed Irrigation Mode: Set specific start times, watering durations, and days of the week for your irrigation cycles.
- Cyclical Irrigation Mode: Define a circulation unit (e.g., water for 20 minutes, close for 3 hours) and apply it to specific days.
You can set up to 20 different irrigation schedules and adjust them as needed. Ensure your outdoor faucet is always on for the timer to function.

Manual Watering
The manual mode allows for temporary watering without altering your programmed schedules. You can activate manual watering directly from the timer button or via the app for durations ranging from 1 minute to 23 hours and 59 minutes.

Rain Delay
To prevent overwatering and save water, the rain delay feature allows you to pause your irrigation schedule for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 days. The schedule will automatically resume after the selected delay period.

Irrigation History & Real-Time Notifications
The Smart Life app provides a real-time record of your irrigation activities, making your water management visible. You will receive notifications directly to your smartphone regarding timer activity, offering insights into your garden's watering status.

Maintenance
- Filter Cleaning: The timer includes a filter to trap dirt particles. Clean this filter regularly to ensure optimal water flow and prevent blockages. Replace the filter if it becomes worn or damaged.
- Battery Replacement: Replace the 2x AA batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Always ensure the timer is dry when replacing batteries.
- Preventing Leaks: To prevent water leakage, ensure the water timer is tightly attached to both the hose faucet and your garden hose. If necessary, use a rubber washer and/or thread seal tape for a more secure seal.
- Winter Storage: When air temperatures are expected to drop below 40℉ (4.5℃), remove the timer from the hose faucet and store it indoors. This prevents potential damage from freezing water.
Troubleshooting
- No Connection/Remote Control:
- Ensure your WiFi Hub is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network.
- Check the distance between your router, WiFi Hub, and the water timer. Optimal range is 3-10 meters (10-33 feet), with a maximum of 49.2ft (15m) in open areas.
- Verify that the Smart Life app is correctly installed and the hub/timer are paired.
- Note that the app is not compatible with tablets.
- Water Leakage:
- Ensure the timer is tightly secured to both the faucet and the hose.
- Check if the rubber washer is properly seated and undamaged.
- Apply thread seal tape to the connections if leaks persist.
- Timer Not Watering:
- Confirm that the outdoor faucet is fully turned on.
- Check the battery level of the timer and replace batteries if low.
- Verify that your watering schedules are correctly set up in the Smart Life app.
- Inaccurate Watering Duration:
- Ensure your water pressure is within the specified range of 7.25-116 psi.
- Clean the internal filter if it appears to be clogged.
User Tips
- For the most stable connection and control, position your WiFi Hub and water timer within 49.2ft (15m) of each other in an open area.
- Always ensure your outdoor faucet is turned on for the timer to operate as scheduled.
- To prevent freezing damage, always remove the water timer from the faucet and store it indoors during cold weather (below 40℉ / 4.5℃).
- When purchasing, confirm you select the correct timer thread type (e.g., BSPT) and gateway plug (e.g., EU, US, UK) for your region to ensure compatibility.
