8. Troubleshooting

Q1: The LCD screen doesn't display anything when the batteries are installed.
A1: Ensure you are using new 1.5V AA alkaline batteries. Check that the batteries are properly placed in the battery box with correct polarity.
Q2: Water doesn't come on at the preset time.
A2: Check the following:
  • The current clock time is set correctly.
  • The 'Start Time' is set to the desired time.
  • Rain delay mode is not active.
  • The timer is not in 'OFF' mode.
  • The batteries are not low (check the battery indicator on the LCD).
  • The faucet is turned on fully.
Q3: The hose tap connection/outlet leaks.
A3: Check the following:
  • The O-ring is correctly seated and not damaged in the connection to the faucet.
  • The connection outlet or water pipe is not broken.
  • The faucet and water pipe have compatible threads. If necessary, use the appropriate adapter (e.g., the provided reducer hex bushing) or PTFE tape to ensure a tight seal.

9. User Tips

  • For optimal performance, always use high-quality 1.5V AA alkaline batteries. Rechargeable batteries may not provide sufficient voltage for consistent operation.
  • The timer's connector is reinforced with 35% fiber, allowing it to withstand water pressures from 7.25 psi to 116 psi, making it suitable for various water sources.
  • Installation is tool-free; hand-tightening is sufficient and recommended to avoid damage.
  • This timer is versatile and can be used for gravity drip irrigation systems, garden watering, lawn sprinklers, greenhouse mist systems, and even pool filling.
