1. Introduction

This device combines an accurate music spectrum analyzer with a high-precision clock display, offering both visual appeal and practical functionality for audio enthusiasts. 2. Safety Information

  • Ensure the device is powered by a DC 5V source only.
  • Do not expose the device to water or excessive moisture.
  • Avoid disassembling the main board unless instructed.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

4. Setup

4.1 Assembly Instructions

For safe shipping, the main board and acrylic boards are packaged separately. Assembly is required and is a straightforward process:

  1. Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Align the two acrylic boards with the main AK2515 Audio Spectrum Analyzer Board.
  3. Secure the acrylic boards to the main board using the provided installation screws. Ensure all screws are tightened gently to avoid damage.
  4. Remove any protective film from the acrylic boards for optimal display clarity.

4.2 Connections

  • Power Input: Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the '2* DC 5V IN (Type-C)' port on the back of the device and to a suitable 5V power adapter (not included).
  • Audio Input (Wired): Use the 3.5mm audio cable to connect your audio source (e.g., smartphone, computer, audio player) to the '3.5mm AUX input (Low level signal)' port.
  • Audio Input (Wireless/MIC): The device features a 'Microphone pickup hole' for ambient sound detection, allowing for wireless audio spectrum analysis.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Controls

The device features 'Up', 'Down', and 'OK' buttons for navigation and selection, located on the side of the main board (refer to Figure 4.1).

5.2 Display Modes

The AK2515 supports various display modes, including music spectrum, sound level, and clock display. All settings are saved with a power-off memory function.

Work Modes:

  • Auto mode: Displays music spectrum when music is input; switches to clock mode when no music is detected.
  • Auto mode without clock display: Displays music spectrum with music input; enters deep sleep mode when no music is detected.
  • Music spectrum mode: Always displays the music spectrum.
  • Clock display mode: Always displays the clock.

Sound Level Display Modes:

  1. Normal mode
  2. Mirror mode 1
  3. Mirror mode 2

Music Spectrum Modes:

  • Normal mode
  • Invert color mode
  • Reverse mode
  • Frequency division mode
  • Amplified curve mode
  • Real output / Smooth output I / Smooth output II

5.3 Adjustable Items & Effects

The following parameters can be adjusted independently:

  • Brightness (7 levels)
  • Falling speed of the main light column
  • Peak holding time
  • Peak falling speed

The device also supports displaying date and time, offers 4 font types, 5 music spectrum display modes, 5 clock display modes, and 3 level modes for free selection.

Frequency Division/Amplification Curve Function and Noise Filtering:

  • Frequency Division Modes: 5 modes available to enhance visual effects.
  • Amplification Curve Modes: 5 modes to suppress low-frequency or boost high-frequency, adapting to different environments.
  • Noise Filtering: A one-click function to improve sound clarity.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the acrylic panels and the VFD screen. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Handling: Handle the device with care to prevent physical damage, especially to the VFD screen.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 User Tips

  • Protective Film: Remember to remove the protective film from both sides of the acrylic boards after assembly for the clearest display.
  • Optimal Viewing: Experiment with different display modes and adjustable settings (brightness, peak speeds) to find the visual effect that best suits your environment and preferences.
  • Audio Source Volume: For wired input, ensure your audio source's volume is at a reasonable level to provide a strong enough signal for the spectrum analyzer to react effectively.
