Battery Care:
To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods. Store the device with a partial charge (around 50%).
-
Storage:
When not in use, store the borescope in its provided storage case to protect it from dust, impacts, and extreme temperatures. The detachable screen design allows for compact storage.
-
Software Updates:
Check the official AUTOOL website periodically for any available software or firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
7. Troubleshooting
-
Device does not power on:
Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged. Connect the device to a power source using the Type-C cable and try again. If the battery is detachable, ensure it is correctly inserted.
-
Poor image quality:
Check if the camera lens is clean. Adjust the LED light brightness to suit the environment. Ensure the camera is within the optimal Depth of Field (20-100mm) for clear focus.
-
Lens articulation not responding:
Verify that the joystick is functioning correctly. If the probe has been subjected to extreme bending or impact, it might be damaged. Avoid forcing the probe beyond its natural flexibility.
-
High-temperature alarm/auto shutdown:
This is a safety feature. The device will shut down if the probe temperature exceeds 90°C. Remove the probe from the hot environment and allow it to cool down completely before attempting to use it again.
-
Cannot save photos/videos:
Check if the built-in 32GB memory card is full. If so, transfer files to another device or delete unnecessary files. Ensure the device is powered on and functioning correctly during capture.

10. User Tips
- Optimal Viewing Distance: For the clearest images, try to keep the camera lens within the Depth of Field (DOF) range of 20-100mm from the object you are inspecting.
- Magnetic Base: Utilize the bottom magnetic design of the main unit to secure it to metallic surfaces, freeing your hands during inspections.
- Pre-charge for Long Tasks: Always ensure your borescope is fully charged before starting a long inspection task to avoid interruptions, as the battery life is approximately 120 minutes.
- Gentle Handling: While the flexible hose is durable, avoid excessive force or sharp bends to prevent damage to the articulation mechanism.
- Regular Data Backup: Periodically transfer important photos and videos from the built-in 32GB TF card to a computer or external storage to prevent data loss and free up space.
