3. Setup Instructions
3.1 Connectivity Modes
The M87 Pro supports three connection modes: Bluetooth, 2.4GHz Wireless, and Wired (USB Type-C). You can switch between these modes using the dedicated switch on the keyboard.

3.1.1 2.4GHz Wireless Connection
- Locate the 2.4GHz USB receiver (usually stored in a slot on the keyboard).
- Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
- Switch the keyboard's mode selector to '2.4G'. The keyboard should automatically connect.
3.1.2 Bluetooth Connection
- Switch the keyboard's mode selector to 'BT' (Bluetooth).
- On your device (computer, laptop, tablet), open Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
- Select 'Attack Shark M87 Pro' from the list of available devices to pair.
- The keyboard supports connecting to up to three Bluetooth devices. Refer to the operating instructions for switching between paired devices.
3.1.3 Wired USB Type-C Connection
- Connect one end of the provided USB Type-C cable to the keyboard's Type-C port.
- Connect the other end of the cable to an available USB port on your computer.
- Switch the keyboard's mode selector to 'Wired' or ensure it's in a mode that allows wired operation. The keyboard will function as a wired device and charge simultaneously.
3.2 Operating System Switch
The keyboard includes a quick switch to toggle between Windows (Win) and Mac operating system layouts for optimal compatibility.

4.1 Backlight Control

4.2 Custom Driver Software

4.3 Hot-Swapping Switches
The M87 Pro features full key hot-swapping, allowing you to easily replace key switches without soldering. It is compatible with most three-pin and five-pin switches on the market. This enables users to customize their typing experience by changing switch types to achieve different tactile sensations and sounds.

4.4 Battery Management
The keyboard is equipped with a built-in 4600mAh lithium battery for long-lasting battery life. It charges automatically when connected via the USB Type-C cable.

5. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Attack Shark M87 Pro keyboard, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the keyboard with a soft, dry cloth. For deeper cleaning, you can remove the keycaps using a keycap puller and use compressed air to clear debris from under the keys.
- Keycap Care: The PBT keycaps are durable, but avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the legends or surface.
- Switch Care: If hot-swapping switches, ensure the switch pins are straight before inserting them to avoid bending or damaging the sockets.
- Storage: When not in use, store the keyboard in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Connectivity Issues
- 2.4GHz/Bluetooth Disconnection: Ensure the keyboard is charged. Check that the USB receiver is securely plugged in for 2.4GHz. For Bluetooth, ensure your device's Bluetooth is enabled and the keyboard is in pairing mode or already paired. Try re-pairing if issues persist.
- Wired Connection Not Detected: Ensure the USB Type-C cable is fully inserted into both the keyboard and the computer. Try a different USB port or cable.
6.2 Backlight Not Functioning
- Ensure the keyboard is powered on and charged.
- Check if the backlight is turned off or set to a very low brightness level using the keyboard's function keys or custom driver software.
- If using a single light version, note that it only supports monochromatic light.
6.3 Keys Not Responding / Ghosting
- The M87 Pro features a full key non-impact design, minimizing ghosting. If specific keys are not responding, try hot-swapping the switch for that key with a known working one to diagnose if the issue is with the switch or the socket.
- Ensure the keyboard is properly connected in your chosen mode.
6.4 Custom Driver Software Issues
- Ensure the keyboard is connected via wired USB or 2.4GHz wireless for driver functionality. Bluetooth mode does not support the custom driver.
