3. Setup

3.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, ensure the device is fully charged using the provided DC 5V charging cable.

3.2 Wi-Fi Connection

The device requires a Wi-Fi connection for activation and updates. Upon powering on, connect to an available Wi-Fi network. The device will activate automatically.

3.3 Language Selection

The device supports 11 languages. You can select your preferred language from the settings menu:

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Connecting to Vehicle

  1. Locate your vehicle's 16-pin OBD2 diagnostic port, typically found under the dashboard on the driver's side.
  2. Connect the OBD II diagnostic cable to the scanner and then to the vehicle's OBD2 port.
  3. Turn on the vehicle's ignition (engine can be off or running, depending on the test).

4.2 Auto VIN Scan

For vehicles manufactured after 2006, the scanner supports Auto VIN to automatically identify the vehicle's VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) and initiate a comprehensive diagnostic scan. If auto-detection fails, you may need to manually select the vehicle's make, model, and year.

4.3 4-System Diagnostic

The CRP123E V3.0 can diagnose four main vehicle systems:

  • Engine System: Read/clear codes, view live data stream (graphing/text), retrieve freeze-frame data, perform O2 Sensor Test, I/M Readiness Check, System Monitor Test, EVAP System Test.
  • Transmission System: Read/clear codes, view live data, and turn off warning lights related to the transmission.
  • Anti-lock Braking System (ABS): Access and perform diagnostics on ABS brake systems, including reading error codes and turning off the ABS warning light.
  • Supplemental Restraint System (SRS): Supports SRS diagnosis, reading codes, and helping to resolve issues related to airbags and seatbelts.

4.4 7 Special Functions

  • Oil Reset: Resets the oil life reminder after an oil change.
  • EPB (Electronic Parking Brake) Reset: Resets the electronic parking brake system after brake pad replacement.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Software Updates

The CRP123E V3.0 offers lifetime free software updates via Wi-Fi. Simply connect the device to a Wi-Fi network and use the one-click update feature to download the newest software and functions. No need for SD cards, cables, or a PC.
