4. Setup

4.1 Mounting the Device

  1. Attach the suction cup bracket to the back of the B5300 host unit.
  2. Clean the desired mounting surface on your dashboard or windshield.
  3. Press the suction cup firmly against the surface and engage the locking mechanism to secure it.
  4. Adjust the screen angle using the multi-angle bracket. The bracket allows for 360-degree rotation and various tilt adjustments for optimal viewing.

4.2 Power Connection

Connect the provided cigarette lighter power cord to the DC 12V port on the side of the B5300 unit. Plug the other end into your vehicle's 12V cigarette lighter socket. The device will power on automatically.

4.3 External Connections

The B5300 unit features several ports for external connections:

  • AUX In: Connect external audio sources using a 3.5mm AUX cable.
  • Camera Input: Use the dedicated input for an optional rear view camera.
  • USB Port: For USB drive playback (audio/video/images) or wired CarPlay/Android Auto/Mirror Link.
  • Micro TF Slot: For TF card playback (audio/video/images).

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic UI Navigation

The B5300 features a touch screen interface. Tap icons to select functions such as PhoneLink, Radio, Bluetooth, Apps, USB, and Setup. Swipe gestures may be used for navigation within menus.

5.2 Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

The B5300 supports both wired and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This allows you to intelligently and safely use your smartphone's features while driving, including navigation, calls, messages, and music.

  • Wireless Connection: Ensure your phone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled. On the B5300, select the CarPlay or Android Auto option. Follow the on-screen prompts to pair your phone.
  • Wired Connection: Connect your iPhone or Android phone to the B5300's USB port using a compatible USB cable. The device will automatically detect and launch CarPlay or Android Auto.

5.3 Mirror Link

Mirror Link allows you to synchronize and display your mobile phone's content directly on the B5300 screen. This feature supports both Android and iOS systems.

  • iPhone: Connect your iPhone to the USB port using a USB cable to cast the screen.
  • Android: Connect your Android phone via USB. You may be prompted to install a specific app on your phone to enable screen mirroring.

5.4 Bluetooth Functions (Calls & Music)

The B5300 features Bluetooth 5.0 for stable connections, enabling hands-free calling and wireless music streaming.

  • Pairing: Go to the Bluetooth menu on the B5300. Enable Bluetooth on your phone and search for 'CarPlay' (default name) or the device's Bluetooth name. Select it to pair.
  • Hands-free Calling: Once paired, you can answer calls directly from the B5300 screen using its built-in microphone.
  • Bluetooth Music: Stream audio from your phone to the B5300's built-in speaker or through your car's audio system (via AUX or FM transmission).

5.5 FM Signal Transmission

The B5300 can transmit its audio output to your car's original radio via FM signal. This allows you to play audio from the B5300 through your car's speakers.

  1. On the B5300, select the FM transmission function.
  2. Choose one of the 12 preset frequencies (e.g., 88.60MHz, 93.60MHz, 95.70MHz).
  3. Tune your car's FM radio to the same frequency.
  4. The audio from the B5300 will now play through your car's speakers.

5.6 Multimedia Playback (USB/TF Card)

Insert a USB drive into the USB port or a TF card into the Micro TF slot. The device will automatically detect the media and allow you to browse and play audio, video, or image files.

5.7 Reverse Camera Input

If an optional rear view camera is connected, the B5300 will automatically switch to the reversing video screen when a reverse signal is detected, providing visual assistance for parking.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen and exterior of the device. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Temperature: Operate the device within the specified working temperature range of -10℃ to 60℃. Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat or cold.
  • Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, disconnect it from power and store it in a cool, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the cigarette lighter power cord is securely connected to both the device and the car's 12V socket. Check if the car's 12V socket is functioning.
  • No Sound: Verify that the volume on the B5300 and your car's audio system (if using FM transmission or AUX) is turned up. If using FM transmission, ensure the B5300 and car radio are tuned to the same frequency. If using AUX, ensure the cable is properly connected.
  • CarPlay/Android Auto Not Connecting: For wireless connections, ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your phone. For wired connections, try a different USB cable. Ensure your phone's operating system meets the minimum requirements (Android 6.0+ for Android Auto).
  • Screen Mirroring Issues: For Android phones, ensure any required mirroring app is installed. For both Android and iOS, try reconnecting the USB cable.
  • Unresponsive Touch Screen: Try restarting the device by disconnecting and reconnecting the power. If the issue persists, contact support.

8. User Tips

  • For optimal visibility, adjust the screen angle to minimize glare, especially during bright daylight.
  • Keep your smartphone's operating system updated to ensure compatibility and best performance with CarPlay and Android Auto.
  • When using FM transmission, select a frequency that is not used by local radio stations to avoid interference.
  • Regularly clean the screen to maintain touch responsiveness and clear display.
  • Consider using a high-quality USB cable for wired connections to ensure stable data transfer and charging.
