3. Product Overview
3.1. Device Dimensions and Ports

The device features the following ports:
- AUX In: 3.5mm input for external audio sources.
- Camera Input: 2.5mm jack for connecting a rear view camera.

4. Setup
4.1. Mounting the Device
The device comes with a suction cup bracket for easy installation. There are two main installation methods:
- Suction Cup Mount: Attach the suction cup to a clean, smooth surface like your windshield or dashboard. Adjust the bracket to your desired viewing angle.
- Desktop Horizontal Installation: For alternative placement, the bracket can be configured for horizontal desktop use.

4.2. Power Supply
The device is powered via a cigarette lighter plug. Simply insert the plug into your car's cigarette lighter socket to power on the unit.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. User Interface Display
The device features an intuitive UI for easy navigation through its functions.

5.2. Apple CarPlay (Wired & Wireless)
CarPlay allows you to use iPhone features safely and intelligently while driving. You can navigate, make calls, send/receive messages, and listen to music.

- Wired Connection: Simply connect your iPhone using a USB data cable. The device will automatically enter the CarPlay interface.
- Wireless Connection: Enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your iPhone, then connect to the device's Bluetooth. It will automatically enter the CarPlay interface. Note: The signal is transmitted via Wi-Fi, so CarPlay will remain connected even if Bluetooth is off. If Wi-Fi is off, CarPlay will disconnect.
Note: Models without USB ports can only use wireless connections.
5.3. Android Auto (Wired & Wireless)
Connect your Android phone to the car screen to access Android apps, get directions, send text messages by voice, and make hands-free calls. Android Auto helps you stay focused and entertained while driving.

- Prerequisites: Download and install the "Android Auto" app from Google Play. Your mobile phone must be Android 6.0 or higher, and you need a valid USB data cable.
- Wired Connection: Connect your Android phone using a USB data cable. The device will automatically enter the Android Auto interface.
- Wireless Connection: Enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your Android phone, then connect to the device's Bluetooth. It will automatically enter the Android Auto interface. Note: The signal is transmitted via Wi-Fi, so Android Auto will remain connected even if Bluetooth is off. If Wi-Fi is off, Android Auto will disconnect.
Note: Models without USB ports can only use wireless connections.
5.4. MirrorLink
MirrorLink allows you to mirror your smartphone screen content onto the player's display.

- iPhone MirrorLink: Connect your iPhone via USB. The phone screen content will be projected onto the car display. Note: You cannot control your iPhone from the car display in this mode.
- Android MirrorLink: After connecting your Android device via USB, you will be prompted to install an app. After installation, reconnect the USB cable to enter screen mirroring mode. You can operate from both the player screen and the phone screen. Note: Currently, only image transfer is successful. Audio can only be transmitted after a successful Bluetooth connection.
5.5. Bluetooth 5.0
The device features Bluetooth 5.0 for stable hands-free calls and music streaming, enhancing driving safety.

Bluetooth Pairing:
- Turn on the device and enable its Bluetooth function.
- On your mobile phone, enable Bluetooth and search for devices.
- Select the device name "SWL-BT" when found.
- If prompted, enter the PIN code: "0000" or "1234".
- Once paired, you can use Bluetooth for music and calls.
5.6. Audio Output Methods (FM Transmission / AUX / Built-in Speaker)
The device offers multiple ways to output audio:

- Built-in Speaker: Audio from USB/TF card playback will be output through the device's built-in speaker.
- AUX Line Output: Connect a 3.5mm AUX cable from the device's AUX Out port to your car's original audio system (supported by some models).
- FM Transmission: Transmit audio wirelessly to your car's original radio.
- Choose one of the 12 preset FM frequencies on the device (e.g., 88.60, 89.20, 89.50, 89.80, 91.50, 91.80, 93.00, 93.60, 93.90, 94.50, 95.10, 95.70MHz).
- Tune your car's original radio to the same frequency to receive the audio.
- Ensure you select a clear frequency to avoid interference with local radio stations.
5.7. Multimedia Playback
The device supports music, video, and image playback from USB drives and TF cards.

5.8. Rear View Camera (Optional)
If a rear view camera is connected (purchased separately), the device will automatically switch to the camera's video feed when a signal is detected, assisting with reversing.

Connection: The reverse video input can be connected via the RCA adapter cable. When a signal is received on this port, the LCD will automatically switch to the camera image.

7. Maintenance

8. Troubleshooting
- MirrorLink Connection Issues:
- Before connecting, ensure you select 'Mirror' mode in the device's PhoneLink function.
- For Android, ensure the MirrorLink app is installed on your phone and authorize the connection.
- No Audio Output to Car Speakers:
- The device has a built-in speaker; you can turn it off in system settings if you prefer car speakers.
- Use the FM transmission function: Select a clear FM frequency on the device (e.g., 86.3MHz), then tune your car radio to the same frequency.
- Use the AUX OUT interface (3.5mm) to connect to your car's original audio system (if available on your model).
- Bluetooth Not Working Correctly:
- Delete any existing "SWL-BT" pairing on your phone.
- Rescan and reconnect to "SWL-BT".
- CarPlay or Android Auto Not Auto-Connecting:
- For wired connections, ensure CarPlay or Android Auto is set as the default connection mode in the PhoneLink settings.
- For wireless connections, ensure both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled on your phone and successfully connected to the device.
- Low Volume for Music Playback or Phone Calls:
- Swipe down from the top of the screen to access the status bar and adjust the playback volume.
- During a call, return to the main interface and swipe down to adjust the call volume.
- Time and Date Not Retained:
- The device does not have a built-in battery to retain time/date settings when powered off.
- Time and date will automatically update once connected to a mobile phone (via CarPlay/Android Auto).
- Cannot Play TF Card, USB Music, or Video:
- Use 8GB or 16GB TF cards and USB devices. Some large-capacity storage devices may not be compatible.
- Format the storage device to FAT32 file system.
- Ensure media files are in common formats (refer to Specifications for supported formats). Some encoding formats may not be recognized.
9. User Tips
- Factory Settings PIN: The default PIN for factory settings is 113266.
- Audio Buzzing: If you experience buzzing during music playback while driving, ensure all connections are secure and try adjusting the audio output method (FM vs. AUX) to see if it resolves the issue.
- Remote Control: Some models may support an external remote control. Check your specific model's features.
- Language Support: The device supports multiple languages including English, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, German, French, Polish, Turkish, Arabic, Hebrew, Italian, Czech, and Japanese. You can change the language in the system settings.
- Multiple Phone Connections: While the device can pair with multiple phones via Bluetooth, only one phone can be actively connected for CarPlay/Android Auto or MirrorLink at a time.
