3. Device Overview

4. Setup and Charging
4.1. Initial Charge

- The reading distance is typically >15cm for 30mm ear tags and >5cm for 2*12mm glass tags.
- Once a microchip is detected, the ID will be displayed on the OLED screen.
5.2. Viewing History
The MJ-Q30 can save up to 240 labels for mass storage.
- From the main menu, select "View History" using the Page Up/Down buttons and confirm with the Scan button.
- Use the Page Up/Down buttons to scroll through previously scanned microchip IDs.
5.3. Clearing Records
- From the main menu, select "Clear Records" using the Page Up/Down buttons and confirm with the Scan button.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm clearing all stored records.
5.4. Uploading Data
The device supports data transfer to a computer or mobile phone via Bluetooth, 2.4G wireless, or USB cable.
- Connect the device to your computer using one of the methods described in Section 6.
- From the main menu, select "Upload" using the Page Up/Down buttons and confirm with the Scan button.
- To transfer data to a PC, open a notepad window or a compatible application on your connected computer. The data will transfer instantly.
