4.1. Front Panel

5. Setup Guide

5.1. Connecting to a TV

  • HDMI Connection (Recommended for HD): Connect one end of the HDMI cable (included) to the HDMI OUT port on the player and the other end to an HDMI input on your TV. Select the corresponding HDMI input on your TV.
  • AV Connection (Standard Definition): For older TVs, connect the yellow (video), white (left audio), and red (right audio) cables from the AV OUT ports on the player to the corresponding AV input ports on your TV. Select the correct AV input on your TV.

5.2. Connecting to an Audio System

  • Coaxial/Optical Digital Audio: For high-quality digital audio, connect a coaxial or optical cable from the respective output port on the player to the corresponding input on your audio receiver or soundbar.

5.3. Network Connection

  • Connect an Ethernet cable from the LAN port on the player to your router or network switch for internet access (if applicable for firmware updates or online features).

5.4. Power Connection

  • Connect the AC power adapter to the power input on the rear of the player, then plug the adapter into a wall outlet.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Power On/Off

Press the POWER button on the front panel or the remote control to turn the player on or off.

6.2. Disc Playback

  1. Ensure the player is powered on and the correct input is selected on your TV.
  2. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button on the front panel or remote to open the disc tray.
  3. Place a Blu-ray, DVD, VCD, or BD disc gently into the tray with the label side facing up.
  4. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button again to close the tray. The player will typically begin playback automatically. If not, select 'Play Disc' from the on-screen menu.

6.3. USB Media Playback

  1. Insert a USB storage device (e.g., USB flash drive) into one of the USB ports on the player.
  2. Use the remote control to navigate to the 'USB' or 'Media' input source on the player's menu.
  3. Browse your files and select the desired video, audio, or image file for playback.

6.4. 3D Playback

This player supports 3D Blu-ray discs. To enjoy 3D content, ensure you have a 3D-compatible TV and 3D glasses. Insert a 3D Blu-ray disc, and the player will automatically detect and prompt for 3D playback if your TV supports it.

6.5. Audio Decoding (DTS & Dolby Digital)

The GIEC G3606 player supports DTS and Dolby Digital audio decoding, providing rich and dynamic sound. For the best audio experience, connect the player to an audio receiver or soundbar that also supports these formats using HDMI, Coaxial, or Optical connections.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Cleaning the Unit

  • Wipe the exterior of the player with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol sprays.
