  5. Real-time Curve: Visualize live data parameters in a graphical format for easier analysis of trends and fluctuations.
  6. Freeze Frame: When an emission-related fault occurs, the ECU stores certain vehicle operating conditions at the time of the fault. This data is called "Freeze Frame" data.
  7. O2 Sensor Test: Retrieve and view O2 sensor monitor test results for the most recently completed tests from the vehicle's on-board computer.
  8. EVAP System Test: Initiate a leak test for the vehicle's Evaporative Emission Control (EVAP) system.

8. User Tips

  • Clearing Codes: The scanner can indeed clear car malfunctions (DTCs) and turn off the Check Engine Light. Always diagnose and fix the underlying issue before clearing codes, as they will reappear if the problem persists.
  • Power Source: The device does not come with an internal battery for operation. It draws power directly from your vehicle's OBD2 port when connected, making it a convenient plug-and-play tool.
  • Pre-Purchase Check: If you're buying a used car, use the I/M Readiness function to quickly check if the vehicle's emission systems are ready for inspection, which can indicate if codes have recently been cleared without fixing the issue.
