4. Device Overview
4.1 Front Panel

- Voltage Setting / AC or DC Voltage Switch: Used to adjust voltage and switch between AC/DC voltage modes for the multimeter.
- Current Setting / AC or DC Current Switch: Used to adjust current and switch between AC/DC current modes for the multimeter.
- Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Over Current Protection (OCP) / Multimeter Functions: Activates OVP/OCP, and switches between resistance, capacitance, diode, and continuity measurement types for the multimeter.
- Display Modes Switch: Toggles between different display modes.
- DC Power Supply or Multimeter Mode Switch: Switches the device between DC power supply and Multimeter modes.
- Adjustment Knob: Used for fine-tuning settings.
- Channel Output On/Off Button: Controls the output of the channel. Long press to activate the automatic output function.
- Front USB Port: Provides 5V/1A output for charging or powering external devices.
- Multimeter Voltage and Current Measurement Sockets: Red is positive, black is negative.
- Channel Output Terminals: For connecting the power supply output.
4.2 Rear Panel

- Intelligent Temperature Control Fan: Manages device temperature.
- Power Cord Socket: For connecting the main power cable.

- Power Switch: Turns the device on/off.

5. Setup
5.1 Initial Connection
- Ensure the power switch on the rear panel is in the OFF position.
- Connect the provided power cord to the power cord socket on the rear panel and then to a grounded AC power outlet.
- For PC control, connect the USB device communication port on the rear panel to your computer using a USB cable.
- If using the multimeter function, connect the multimeter leads to the appropriate sockets on the front panel.
- Turn on the power switch on the rear panel. The device will power on and display the main interface.
5.2 PC Software Setup
To utilize PC programming features, you need to install the USB driver and PC software.
- Connect the device to your PC via the rear USB device port.
- Install the USB driver for the first time use. The driver is typically found in the software package provided or on the manufacturer's website.
- Turn on the PC software (e.g., "DC Power Supply Control").
- In the software, navigate to "Communication Settings" and select "Serial Communication".
- Configure the serial port parameters (Port, Baud, DataBits, StopBits, Parity) as required and click "Open" to establish connection.
6. Operation
6.1 Power Supply Interface
The 2.8-inch TFT LCD displays various information simultaneously:
- Cumulative running time
- Actual output power
- Channel output status (CV: Constant Voltage, CC: Constant Current)
- Actual output voltage
- Actual output current
- Set values of OVP/OCP

6.2 Multimeter Interface
The integrated 4½ digit multimeter can measure voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, diode, and continuity. The multimeter interface displays:
- Measurement type
- Measurement range (Auto range or manual range)
- Measured value
- Bar chart for visual representation

6.3 Programmable Output (List Waveform Edit)
The device supports list waveform editing output, allowing you to define up to 10 groups of timing output. The PC software allows for up to 100 editable points for a set of waveform.
- In the PC software, select "List waveform Edit".
- Click "Edit" to open the waveform editor.
- You can select the number of edit points (Start and End) and the cycle count.
- For each point, you can set the output voltage (V), output current (A), waveform duration (Delay in S), and whether four parameters are selected for that point (Y/N).
- After configuring the waveform, click "Start" to output the expected waveform according to the editing time sequence.

6.4 Memory Functions
The device features 4 groups of Memory shortcut parameters for quick output. These can be accessed and recalled directly from the front panel or via the PC software.
6.5 Protection Features
The SPM series includes multiple protection functions to safeguard your circuit and the device:
- Over Voltage Protection (OVP): Prevents output voltage from exceeding a set limit.
- Over Current Protection (OCP): Prevents output current from exceeding a set limit.
- Constant Voltage (CV) / Constant Current (CC) Intelligent Switching Mode: Automatically switches between CV and CC modes to protect the circuit. When the actual current exceeds the preset current value, the power supply automatically switches to CC mode.
- Thermal Protection: Protects the device from overheating.
- Short Circuit Protection: Guards against damage from short circuits.

8. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

- PC Software Connection Issues: Ensure the USB driver is correctly installed and the serial communication settings (Port, Baud rate) in the software match your system configuration.
- Unexpected Output: If the output is not as expected during programmed waveform generation, review the list waveform edit parameters for any errors in voltage, current, or delay settings.

- Utilize the 4 groups of Memory shortcut parameters for frequently used output settings to save time during repetitive tasks.
