5. Setup
5.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the device.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment securely.
Note: If the device shows a low battery indicator or automatically shuts down after powering on, replace the batteries immediately.
5.2 Attaching to a Manual Handle
- Select a suitable manual handle (e.g., ratchet wrench) with a compatible drive size (1/2", 3/8", or 1/4").
- Insert the square drive of the torque meter into the corresponding socket on your manual handle. Ensure it is fully seated and secure.
5.3 Socket Attachment
- Choose the appropriate socket size (1/4", 3/8", or 1/2") for your application.
- Attach the chosen socket to the square drive of the torque meter. Ensure it clicks into place if your socket has a locking mechanism.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off
- To Power On: Press the Power/Zeroing button (
) briefly. The device will enter the working interface. - To Power Off: Press and hold the Power/Zeroing button for a few seconds.
- Automatic Shutdown: The device will automatically turn off after 2 minutes of inactivity to save power. Press the Power/Zeroing button to resume operation.
6.2 Setting Audio-Visual Alarm Value
The torque value displayed upon startup represents the preset value for the audio-visual alarm. You can customize this value:
- Press the + button to increase the preset value.
- Press the - button to decrease the preset value.
When the applied force reaches 80% of the preset value, the warning light will flash with an intermittent buzzer sound. When the sustained force reaches 100% of the preset value, the warning light will stay continuously on with a long buzzer sound.

6.3 Unit Switching
While the device is powered on, press the U/S button to cycle through the four engineering units: N·m, kgf·cm, lbf·ft, and lbf·in.

6.4 Working Mode Switching (Track / Peak)
While the device is powered on, press the M button to switch between:
- Track Mode (Real-time): The screen displays "track". In this mode, the numerical value updates in real-time as force is applied. When torque is released, the value automatically resets to zero.
- Peak Hold Mode: The screen displays "peak". This mode records and locks the maximum torque value reached. The value does not automatically reset to zero and must be cleared by gently pressing the Power/Zeroing button.
6.5 Zeroing Function
When a torque value is displayed on the screen, a gentle press of the Power/Zeroing button will reset the value to zero.
6.6 Backlight Function
To turn the backlight ON or OFF, simultaneously press and hold the Power/Zeroing button and the + button.

7. Maintenance and Storage
- Calibration: To maintain accuracy, re-calibration is recommended approximately once a year.
- Avoid Over-Torque: Excessive torque beyond 105% of the maximum torque range may cause damage or loss of accuracy.
- Handle with Care: Avoid violent shaking or dropping the torque meter on the ground.
- Environmental Conditions: Keep the torque meter away from high temperatures, high humidity, or direct sunlight.
- Moisture: If the torque meter gets wet, wipe it immediately with a dry towel.
- LCD Protection: Do not apply excessive pressure on the LCD screen.
- Long-Term Storage: If storing the product for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and damage.
- Cleaning: Do not use alcohol, paint thinner, or other organic solvents for cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth.
8. Troubleshooting
- Device shuts down after powering on: This usually indicates low battery. Replace the two AAA batteries with new ones.
- Screen resets when the head is impacted: This is normal behavior and does not affect the torque accuracy.
- Torque value not resetting in Peak mode: In Peak mode, the maximum value is held. To clear it, gently press the Power/Zeroing button.
- Measurement for both right and left rotation: Yes, the device is designed to measure torque for both clockwise and counter-clockwise rotations.
9. User Tips
- For specific applications like motorcycle or car repair, always refer to the manufacturer's service manual for recommended torque values.
- While the device can store a target value for the alarm, it does not support multiple preset torque values.
- When applying force, ensure the socket is fully seated and apply force slowly and steadily for the most accurate readings.
