2. Compatibility Notice

Please Note:

  • This device is primarily designed for Toyota cars manufactured between 2018 and 2024.
  • It is only compatible with cars equipped with 2-8 original speakers.
  • If your car has premium audio systems such as Bose, Dynaudio, Ferder audio, JBL, Burmester, Harman Kardon, or other brand-specific amplifiers, this product is NOT suitable. Please verify your car's audio system before installation.
  • Ensure your original radio's power and audio interface match the connections shown in the installation diagrams.

3. Setup and Installation

3.1. What's in the Box

Before you begin, please ensure all components are present:

3.2. Connecting the DSP

The P48E DSP is designed for plug-and-play installation in compatible Toyota vehicles, utilizing lossless transmission with full copper wiring.

  1. Locate the original car radio and its wiring harness.
  2. Connect the provided power and audio connection cable to the original car radio.
  3. Plug the other end of the cable directly into the DSP interface.
  4. Ensure all connections are secure.

The DSP unit features various input and output ports:

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Tuning Methods

The P48E Car DSP offers three flexible tuning methods to customize your audio experience:

4.1.1. Manual Tuning Mode

This method allows for direct adjustment using the physical knobs on the DSP unit.

  1. Ensure the DSP Switch is set to "ON".
  2. Switch the mode to "Manual" using the PC/Manual switch.
  3. Use the Tweter, Midrange, Bass, and Subwoofer knobs to adjust the sound levels to your preference. The "Value" display will show the current setting.

4.1.2. Phone App Tuning Mode

Tune your DSP wirelessly using a dedicated smartphone application.

  1. Ensure the DSP Switch is set to "ON".
  2. Switch the mode to "PC" using the PC/Manual switch.
  3. Open the DSP app on your smartphone.
  4. Tap "Disconnect" in the app and connect your phone to the DSP via Bluetooth.
  5. Adjust the treble, mid, and bass sliders within the app to match your personal taste.
  6. The app also provides options for output, delay, and equalizer settings for more detailed control.
  7. Select from six built-in preset music styles for quick optimization.

4.1.3. PC Software Tuning Mode

For professional and precise tuning, connect the DSP to a computer.

  1. Ensure the DSP Switch is set to "ON".
  2. Switch the mode to "PC" using the PC/Manual switch.
  3. Connect the DSP to your computer using the provided USB PC tuning data cable.
  4. Launch the DSP tuning software on your computer.
  5. Adjust the treble, mid, and bass settings using the graphical equalizer interface.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1. The machine is not working and there is no sound.

  1. Verify that the positive and negative power terminals, ACC, and high-level input and output are connected correctly.
  2. Check that the input and output speaker wires are properly grounded.
  3. Ensure the positive terminal and ACC wire have a voltage of 12V. The ground wire should be connected correctly and securely.
  4. Check if the wire harness fuse is blown.
  5. Make sure that the input mode is selected correctly.
  6. Restore factory settings and update the system.

6.2. The equipment is not responding to commands.

  1. Check the main DSP switch and make sure it's turned to the "ON" position.
