  • Software Updates: This device does not support software updates.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your T41 device, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Device Does Not Power On:
    • Ensure the OBDII connector is securely plugged into the vehicle's DLC.
    • Verify the vehicle's ignition is in the ON position.
    • Check the vehicle's battery for sufficient charge, as the device draws power from the vehicle.
  • Communication Error with Vehicle:
    • Confirm the vehicle is OBDII compliant (most vehicles from 1996 onwards).
    • Check for any loose connections between the T41 and the vehicle's DLC.
    • Try connecting the device to a different OBDII compliant vehicle to rule out a vehicle-specific issue.
  • Cannot Clear Codes:
    • Ensure the ignition is ON and the engine is OFF when attempting to clear codes.
    • Some critical fault codes may reappear immediately if the underlying issue is not resolved. Address the vehicle fault before attempting to clear codes again.
  • Screen Freezes or Responds Slowly:
    • Disconnect the device from the vehicle and reconnect it.
