- Ensure the OBDII connector is securely plugged into the vehicle's DLC.
- Verify the vehicle's ignition is in the ON position.
- Check the vehicle's battery for sufficient charge, as the device draws power from the vehicle.
- Communication Error with Vehicle:
- Confirm the vehicle is OBDII compliant (most vehicles from 1996 onwards).
- Check for any loose connections between the T41 and the vehicle's DLC.
- Try connecting the device to a different OBDII compliant vehicle to rule out a vehicle-specific issue.
- Cannot Clear Codes:
- Ensure the ignition is ON and the engine is OFF when attempting to clear codes.
- Some critical fault codes may reappear immediately if the underlying issue is not resolved. Address the vehicle fault before attempting to clear codes again.
