1. Introduction

The Hayve Kid Pocket Digital Microscope (Model HM020B) is a handheld digital magnifying glass designed for children aged 3+ to explore the micro-world. It features a 2.0-inch IPS color screen, a 30W HD camera with up to 4X magnification, 8 adjustable LED lights, and built-in storage for photos. This device also includes three mini-games for added entertainment. Its ergonomic, anti-slip handle and food-grade silicone protection make it durable and safe for young users.

3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the microscope. The device has a 650mAH, 3.7V battery.

  1. Connect the provided Type-C data cable to the charging port on the microscope.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a 5V/1A USB power adapter (not included).
  3. The charging indicator will show the charging status. A full charge takes approximately 1.5 hours.

3.2 Powering On/Off

Locate the power button on the device. Press and hold the power button for a few seconds to turn the microscope on or off. The 2.0-inch IPS screen will display a welcome message upon startup.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Observation

The microscope is designed for easy, one-handed operation with an anti-slip handle.

  1. Turn on the microscope.
  2. Place the lens close to the object you wish to observe.
  3. Adjust the focus manually using the focusing mechanism until the image on the 2.0-inch IPS screen is clear.
  4. Use the magnification buttons to switch between 1X and 4X magnification.

4.2 Using the LED Lights

The microscope is equipped with 8 adjustable LED lights to illuminate your subject, suitable for various observation environments.

  • Locate the LED light control buttons on the device.
  • Press the buttons to adjust the brightness of the lights as needed for optimal viewing.

4.3 Taking Photos

The microscope allows for one-click photo capture to record discoveries. It has built-in storage for up to 100 photos.

  1. Once the object is in focus and properly magnified, press the designated photo button (often marked 'OK' or with a camera icon).
  2. The image will be saved to the internal memory.

4.4 Playing Built-in Games

The microscope includes three fun mini-games: Tetris, Pac-Man, and Bomberman.

  • Navigate to the game menu using the control buttons.
  • Select your desired game and follow the on-screen instructions to play.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the microscope.
  • For the screen and lens, use a microfiber cloth specifically designed for optics. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

5.2 Storage

  • Store the microscope in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Keep it away from dust and moisture.

5.3 Battery Care

  • To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • If storing for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50% and recharge every few months.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Device does not turn on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a power source and try again.
  • Screen is blank or frozen: Try resetting the device. A small reset button may be present (refer to device for exact location, often near the Type-C port).
  • Image is blurry: Adjust the manual focus ring until the image is clear. Ensure the lens is close enough to the object.
  • LED lights not working: Check if the lights are turned on and brightness is adjusted. Ensure the battery has sufficient charge.
  • Cannot save photos: The internal storage might be full. Consider transferring photos to a computer via the Type-C cable to free up space.
