Troubleshooting (FAQ)
1. What is the WiFi password for the Wireless CarPlay Adapter?
You do not need a WiFi password. The device uses Bluetooth to establish a pairing, and then WiFi automatically connects for data transfer. Ensure your phone's WiFi is turned on and not occupied when pairing.
2. After pairing Android Auto adapter, cannot start Android Auto function or compatible/cannot recognize the USB...
- If your car is using Android Auto for the first time, connect your phone via a data cable to activate Android Auto through a wired method first.
- Ensure Android Auto on your Android phone is the latest version. Update if necessary.
- Turn off your phone's Bluetooth. Go to mobile application management, search for Android Auto, and clear its cache from Google Play Services. After clearing, restart the adapter and reconnect Bluetooth.
3. Audio input or output issues (calls rejected/forwarded to voicemail, no play sound, microphone not working, music playback interrupted/paused, voice functioning abnormally)...
- Check if your iPhone/Android smartphone's Bluetooth is connected to other devices (e.g., earphones, smartwatches). If so, disconnect them.
- When on a call, ensure your "Audio" output option is set to CarPlay/Android Auto.
4. The indicator light of the adapter is still on after the car is turned off.
The car may not immediately cut off all power when turned off, so the adapter's light will remain on for a short period. Its power consumption is minimal and will not drain the car battery.
5. Can the mobile phone use other internet WiFi when using the wireless CarPlay Android Auto Adapter?
When using the wireless Android Auto adapter function, your phone's WiFi will be occupied by the adapter. Therefore, you cannot use other internet WiFi at the same time. You can only use your phone's SIM card internet.
6. Unable to automatically reconnect.
- Ensure your mobile phone's Bluetooth and WiFi functions are turned on, and Bluetooth is not occupied when you get in the car.
- Clear the pairing record, restart your phone, and repair the adapter again.
7. Can the adapter be paired with multiple phones?
The adapter can be paired with a maximum of five phones, but only one device can be connected at a time. To pair a new phone, cancel the current connection first. The adapter's system will auto-connect back to the last used phone by default.
8. Can't find the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi of the wireless CarPlay Android Auto Adapter?
Ensure the adapter's power indicator (blue or red light) is on and it's fully plugged into the correct wired CarPlay/Android Auto USB port. If the issue persists with a specific phone, try resetting your phone's network and Bluetooth settings, then restart the phone. If the problem occurs with other phones, the adapter may be defective.
9. The Red indicator light of the adapter is blinking all the time. (The normal working light should be red light on)
- Ensure the adapter is fully inserted into the USB port.
- If fully inserted, try using a male-to-female USB adapter to connect.
10. Does the Wireless CarPlay Android Auto Adapter support YouTube Video?
- It does not support YouTube for wireless CarPlay.
- It can support YouTube for wireless Android Auto. Follow these steps: Open Google Browser and type "AAADAPK" > Download APK > Open "AAAD" > Download "Carstream" > Open "Carstream" > Go to settings and choose "Enable desktop mode". After this, you can enjoy videos from YouTube via wireless Android Auto.
