1. Introduction

The Xiaomi Bone Conduction Bluetooth Earphone is designed for active lifestyles, offering open-ear listening through bone conduction technology. This allows you to enjoy audio while remaining aware of your surroundings. Featuring IP66 waterproofing, a lightweight design, and long battery life, it's suitable for various sports and daily activities.

2. Setup

2.1 Package Contents

Please check the package for the following items:

• Xiaomi Bone Conduction Earphones × 1
• Charging Cable (Type-C) × 1

2.2 Charging the Earphones

Before first use, fully charge the earphones. The earphones feature a Type-C charging port. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the earphones and a 5V/200mA power source (charging adapter not included). A full charge takes approximately 2 hours. A quick 10-minute charge can provide up to 2 hours of music playback.

2.3 Bluetooth Pairing

To connect your earphones to a device:

1. Ensure the earphones are charged and powered off.
2. Long press the 'Volume +' button for 2 seconds to power on the earphones and enter pairing mode.
3. On your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
4. Select "Xiaomi Earphones Explore" from the list to connect.

MIUI Popup Quick Connect: For compatible Xiaomi/Redmi phones with the latest MIUI version, simply activate pairing mode near the phone. The phone will automatically detect and display a quick connect popup, showing the earphone battery level.

2.4 Dual Device Connection

The earphones support simultaneous connection to two Bluetooth devices. This allows you to seamlessly switch between audio sources, for example, from watching a video on your computer to answering a call on your phone without re-pairing.

Note: This feature is turned off by default and needs to be manually enabled in the Bluetooth settings of compatible devices.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Button Controls

The earphones feature precise physical buttons for easy control:

• Long press 'Volume +' button for 2 seconds: Power On/Off
• Single click multifunction button: Answer/End Call, Play/Pause Music
• Triple click multifunction button: Previous Track
• Double click multifunction button: Next Track

3.2 Bone Conduction Audio Transmission

These earphones utilize true bone conduction technology. Vibrations are transmitted directly to your auditory nerves, allowing you to hear audio without blocking your ear canals. This open-ear design ensures you remain aware of your surroundings, enhancing safety during outdoor activities.

3.3 Call Features

The earphones are equipped with dual-mic HD calls and CVC (Clear Voice Capture) digital noise reduction technology. This effectively filters out background noise in various environments (offices, gyms, outdoors) to ensure clear communication during calls.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Waterproofing (IP66)

The earphones boast an IP66 dust and waterproof rating, featuring a fully sealed, leak-proof structure that withstands wind, rain, and sweat. This allows for worry-free use during intense exercise.

• The IP66 rating applies to the earphone body when the charging port cover is closed and earphones are worn normally.
• The earphones are not resistant to hot water.
• There is no waterproof or dustproof effect during charging. Ensure the charging port is free of liquid and foreign objects before charging.
• The waterproof and dustproof effects are not permanent and may decrease over time due to daily wear and tear.

4.2 Cleaning and Storage

• Wipe the earphones with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Ensure the charging port is dry and clean before charging.
• Store the earphones in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Connectivity Issues

• Earphones not pairing: Ensure earphones are in pairing mode (long press 'Volume +' for 2 seconds). Check your device's Bluetooth settings and try re-scanning.
• Intermittent connection: Ensure your device is within the 10-meter communication range (unobstructed). Avoid environments with strong electromagnetic interference.
• Dual device switching issues: Ensure the dual device connection feature is enabled in your device's Bluetooth settings if applicable.

5.2 Charging Problems

• Earphones not charging: Verify that you are using a 5V/200mA power source. Check the Type-C cable and port for any damage or debris.
• Slow charging: Ensure the power source meets the recommended specifications.

5.3 Sound Quality Issues

• Low volume or unclear sound: Adjust the volume on both the earphones and your connected device. Ensure the earphones are positioned correctly on your cheekbones.
• Sound leakage: The earphones feature a 360° enclosed directional sound cavity to suppress leakage, but in very quiet environments or at high volumes, some leakage may occur.

• Comfortable Fit: The liquid silicone frame is designed to adapt to different head shapes. Adjust the neckband for a secure and comfortable fit, especially during prolonged use or exercise.
• Not a Hearing Aid: These earphones are designed for audio playback using bone conduction technology, not as a medical hearing aid.
• Optimizing Latency: If you experience noticeable audio-video delay, especially during gaming, check if your Xiaomi/Redmi phone supports the 'Game Acceleration' feature and enable the low-latency function within it.
