4. Operating Instructions
The INKBIRDPLUS vacuum sealer features a digital touch control panel for intuitive operation and 5 operating modes to suit various food types and preservation needs.
4.1. Vacuum & Seal Modes (Dry/Moist)
These modes are used for both vacuuming air out of the bag and then sealing it.
- Place the food inside a vacuum bag, leaving at least 2-3 inches of space from the top edge.
- Open the lid of the vacuum sealer and place the open end of the bag into the vacuum chamber. Ensure the bag is correctly positioned, aligning with the transparent window and LED indication.
- Close the lid firmly until you hear a click, indicating it's locked.
- Select the appropriate mode:
- Dry Mode (VAC&SEAL): For dry foods without moisture. The digital display will show a 9-second sealing time.
- Moist Mode (VAC&SEAL): For moist or seasoned foods. The digital display will show a 17-second sealing time.
- The machine will automatically vacuum the air and then seal the bag. The digital display will show the remaining sealing time.
- Once the process is complete, the indicator light will turn off. Open the lid and remove the sealed bag.
4.2. Seal Only Mode
This mode is used to seal bags without vacuuming, ideal for creating custom-sized bags from a roll or sealing delicate items that don't require vacuuming.
- Place the open end of the bag onto the sealing strip.
- Close the lid firmly.
- Press the 'SEAL' button. The machine will heat and seal the bag.
- Once the sealing is complete, open the lid and remove the bag.
4.3. Pulse Mode
The Pulse mode allows for manual control over the vacuuming process, perfect for fragile or delicate foods that could be crushed by full vacuum pressure.
- Place the fragile food inside a vacuum bag.
- Position the bag in the vacuum chamber and close the lid.
- Press and hold the 'PULSE' button to vacuum. Release the button to stop vacuuming.
- Once the desired vacuum level is reached, press the 'SEAL' button to seal the bag.
- Open the lid and remove the sealed bag.
4.4. External Vacuum (Canister Mode)
This feature allows you to vacuum seal external containers, such as jars or specialized food storage containers, using the included air suction hose.
- Place food into a compatible vacuum-sealable container.
- Insert one end of the air suction hose into the vacuum port on the machine.
- Attach the other end of the hose to the vacuum port on your container.
- Close the lid of the vacuum sealer (if applicable) and ensure the container is properly sealed.
- Press the 'CANISTER' button (or similar external vacuum function). The machine will begin to remove air from the container.
- Once vacuuming is complete, remove the hose from both the machine and the container.
4.5. Stop Function
The 'STOP' button allows you to immediately halt any ongoing operation (vacuuming or sealing). This is useful for manually controlling the vacuum level for delicate items or to correct a mistake during the process.
5. Maintenance
5.1. Cleaning the Machine
The INKBIRDPLUS vacuum sealer features an advanced ABS and stainless steel shell, making it durable and easy to clean.
- Always unplug the machine before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Clean the vacuum chamber and sealing strip regularly to prevent food residue buildup, which can affect sealing performance.
- Ensure all parts are completely dry before storing or using the machine again.
5.2. Seal Gasket
The seal gasket is crucial for maintaining a proper vacuum. Inspect it regularly for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage. A spare seal gasket is included in your package for replacement if needed.
5.3. Cooling Down Period
To ensure the longevity of your vacuum sealer, adhere to the recommended cooling periods after intensive use:
- After 200 continuous vacuum seals in Dry mode.

9. User Tips
- Preventing Moisture Issues: When vacuum sealing moist foods, place a folded paper towel inside the bag, between the food and the sealing area, to absorb excess moisture and ensure a better seal.
- Custom Bag Sizes: Utilize the built-in bag roll storage and cutter to create bags of the exact size you need, minimizing waste.
- Fragile Items: For delicate items like bread or chips, use the 'Pulse' function to manually control the vacuum pressure and prevent crushing.
- Optimal Sealing: Ensure the open end of the bag is clean and dry before placing it in the vacuum chamber. Any food particles or moisture can compromise the seal.
- Cool Down: Always observe the recommended cooling periods after continuous use (200 cycles for dry, 50 for moist) to maintain machine performance and extend its lifespan.
