- Connect Network Cable: Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to any WAN/LAN port on the router and the other end to your wall's internet port or your modem/ONT's LAN port. If you don't have a modem/ONT, connect the incoming network cable directly to any port on the router.
- Wait for Indicators: Wait for the router to power on and the indicator lights to stabilize. The SYSTEM indicator should turn white, and the INTERNET indicator should turn white (after an initial orange state).
4.2. Internet Setup (via Mi Home App)
For the best experience, it is recommended to use the Mi Home App to manage your router. Ensure your mobile phone is connected to the router's Wi-Fi (initially without a password).
- Download Mi Home App: If you haven't already, download and install the Mi Home App on your smartphone.
- Connect to Router's Wi-Fi: On your phone, search for the Wi-Fi network transmitted by the router (the default Wi-Fi name can be found on the label at the bottom of the router). Connect to this network (it will initially have no password).
- Open Mi Home App: Open the Mi Home App and log in with your Xiaomi account.
- Automatic Setup: The app should automatically detect the new router and guide you through the setup process. Follow the on-screen prompts to configure your internet connection and set a Wi-Fi password. You may be prompted to set the Wi-Fi password as the management password.
- Restart and Reconnect: After completing the settings, the Wi-Fi will automatically restart. Reconnect to the newly configured Wi-Fi network.

Note on Plug Adapters: The correct plug adapter or conversion plug for your country will be provided. Refer to the image below for common adapter types.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Dual-band/Tri-band Switching
The router supports both dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and tri-band (2.4GHz, 5.2GHz, 5.8GHz) modes. You can switch between these modes manually via the router's management interface (web or Mi Home App) to optimize your network for different needs. Dual-band offers wider coverage, while tri-band provides dedicated channels for Mesh networking and gaming.

5.2. MLO Dual-Band Aggregation
For devices supporting dual 5G MLO, the router can connect to two 5G bands simultaneously, achieving high-speed aggregation and increasing theoretical rates by 50%. This dynamically selects the optimal band for a smoother network experience.

5.3. OFDMA Enhanced Version
The OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) enhanced version allows for more accurate allocation of bandwidth resources, ensuring fast and smooth performance for multiple devices simultaneously, such as during live broadcasts or multi-player games. This can reduce network delay by up to 20% in certain scenarios.

5.4. USB 3.0 Port Usage
The router includes a USB 3.0 port with a transfer rate of up to 260MB/s. You can connect external storage devices (like hard drives) to this port to easily share family photos, personal movie collections, or other files across your network. Access these files from your phone, TV, or other connected devices via LAN sharing.

5.5. NFC Function
The router supports NFC (Near Field Communication). To connect your NFC-enabled smartphone to the network without entering a password, simply touch your phone to the NFC area on the router. This provides a quick and convenient way to join the Wi-Fi network.

5.6. Gaming Acceleration
The router intelligently recognizes Xiaomi/Redmi phones and opens a dedicated acceleration channel for gaming. It also supports software acceleration for various gaming devices such as PS, Xbox, Switch, PC, and other smartphones, significantly reducing game latency and stuttering for a smoother gaming experience.

5.7. Family Internet Protection
Utilize the router's family internet protection features to manage internet usage for family members. This includes filtering inappropriate websites and harmful information, as well as setting usage limits for popular applications. These features help promote healthy internet habits within your household.

6. Mesh Networking
The Xiaomi Mi Router BE7000 supports Xiaomi's self-developed Mesh networking technology, allowing you to expand your network coverage by connecting multiple compatible Xiaomi/Redmi routers. This creates a seamless, unified Wi-Fi network throughout your home.
Mesh Networking Methods:
- Method 1 (Recommended - Mi Home App):
- Add and bind the main router using the Mi Home App.
- Navigate to the router management interface within the app.
- Select "Mesh Network Devices" and follow the prompts to add Mesh sub-routers.
- Method 2 (Wireless Mesh Networking):
- Ensure the main router is configured and both SYSTEM and INTERNET indicators are solid white.
- Place the sub-router (compatible with BE7000 Mesh) near the main router (at least 1 meter apart to avoid interference).
- Connect the sub-router to power and wait 2-3 minutes until its SYSTEM indicator turns orange/blue.
- The main router should automatically detect the sub-router, and its INTERNET indicator will slow flash (once per second).
- Short press the MESH button on the main router. Both routers' network indicators (INTERNET) will start fast flashing (twice per second) to enter the networking state and begin wireless Mesh networking.
- Method 3 (Wired Mesh Networking):
- Use an Ethernet cable to connect a LAN port of the main router (or any port if no dedicated LAN) to the WAN port of the sub-router (or any port if no dedicated WAN).
- Both routers' network indicators (INTERNET) will start fast flashing (twice per second) to enter the networking state and perform wired Mesh networking.

7. Mi Home App Management
The Mi Home App provides comprehensive management and control over your Xiaomi Mi Router BE7000. After initial setup, you can use the app to:
- Monitor network status and connected devices.
- Change Wi-Fi settings (SSID, password, security type).
- Manage Mesh network devices.
