Setup

- Language Selection: Upon first startup, you will be prompted to select your preferred language. The system defaults to English. You can choose from various languages including English (United States), English (United Kingdom), Español, Français, Italiano, 日本語 (Japanese), Nederlands, Português (Brasil), and Русский. Tap on your desired language and confirm.

- Connect to Wi-Fi: Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your Kindle to a Wi-Fi network. This is necessary for downloading books and receiving updates.
- Register Your Device: Register your Kindle to your Amazon account to access your library and the Kindle Store. Navigate to 'Settings' > 'Your Account' and follow the prompts.
Operating Instructions
- Navigating the Interface: The Kindle Paperwhite 3 features a touch screen for easy navigation. Tap on items to select them, swipe left or right to turn pages, and use the top menu bar for quick access to Home, Back, Settings, Store, and Search.
- Adjusting Backlight: To adjust the screen brightness, tap the top of the screen to reveal the menu bar, then tap the sun icon. A slider will appear, allowing you to increase or decrease the brightness. The device offers 24 levels of brightness.
