5. Setup Guide

5.1 Charging the Batteries

Before first use, fully charge the drone's flight battery and the remote controller's built-in battery.

  • Drone Battery: Connect the charging cable to the drone battery and a suitable power adapter. The charging time is approximately 6 hours. The indicator light will flash during charging and remain solid when fully charged.
  • Remote Controller Battery: Connect the remote controller to a power source using its charging cable. Charging time is approximately 3.5 hours.

5.2 Installing the Flight Battery

  1. Ensure the drone is powered off.
  2. Carefully insert the fully charged 11.4V 8000mAh flight battery into the battery compartment on the drone until it clicks into place.

5.3 Preparing the Remote Controller

  1. Unfold the antennas on the remote controller.
  2. If using a smartphone for FPV, extend the phone clip and securely mount your device. The remote supports phones up to 7 inches.
  3. Power on the remote controller.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Pre-Flight Checklist

  • Ensure all batteries (drone and remote) are fully charged.
  • Check propellers for any damage and ensure they are securely attached.
  • Select an open, clear area for flight, away from obstacles and people.
  • Power on the drone, then the remote controller. Wait for GPS signal acquisition (if applicable).

6.2 Basic Flight Controls

Refer to the remote controller diagram (Figure 5.3) for control stick functions:

  • Throttle Stick: Controls altitude (up/down).
  • Directional Joystick: Controls forward/backward, left/right movement.
  • Speed Switching: Adjusts flight speed.
  • One-Click Unlock: Initiates propeller spin for takeoff.

6.3 Advanced Features

  • GPS One-Key Return: Press the 'One-click return' button on the remote. The drone will automatically return to its take-off point. This feature also activates for low power or loss of signal.
  • GPS Intelligent Follow & Image Follow: The drone can automatically follow you. For image follow, recognize the shooting object and the drone will follow.
  • Gesture Shooting Recognition: Within 1-3 meters of the aircraft, make a photo gesture or camera gesture to trigger photo or video recording.
  • Route Multi-Point Planning Flight: Pre-set a flight path on the app, and the drone will fly autonomously along the route, allowing you to focus on camera operation.
  • Fixed-Point Surround: Select a center point, then use the joystick to define the radius for the drone to orbit around.
  • 360° Laser Obstacle Avoidance: The drone features omnidirectional perception for intelligent obstacle avoidance, enhancing flight safety.

6.4 Camera Operation

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the drone and remote controller. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.
