1. Product Overview

2. Setup and Charging

2.1 Unboxing

Upon receiving your CoBa BL-XA-P701-2 flashlight, please check the contents of the package:

2.2 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the flashlight. The device features a built-in 2 * 38650 lithium battery.

  1. Locate the Type-C input port, usually covered by a protective rubber flap.
  2. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the flashlight's Type-C input port.
  3. Connect the other end of the cable to a compatible USB power source (e.g., charging head, power bank, laptop, car charger).
  4. The battery indicator lights will illuminate to show the charging progress. A full charge is indicated when all lights are solid.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Power On/Off and Lighting Modes

The flashlight features a single light switch for easy control of power and lighting modes.

Hand pressing the light switch to cycle through five lighting modes: Strong Light, Medium Light, Weak Light, Burst Flash, and SOS.

  1. To Turn On: Press the light switch once. The flashlight will typically turn on in Strong Light mode.
  2. To Cycle Modes: With the flashlight on, press the light switch repeatedly to cycle through the available modes: Strong Light, Medium Light, Weak Light, Burst Flash (Strobe), and SOS (Morse code for distress). The flashlight supports 7 modes in total, including variations.
  3. To Turn Off: Press and hold the light switch for a few seconds, or cycle through all modes until it turns off.

3.2 Zoom Function (Telescopic Zoom)

The flashlight features a telescopic zoom function to adjust the beam from a wide floodlight to a focused spotlight.

  • Spotlight: Stretch the lamp head forward to concentrate the light beam for long-range illumination.
  • Floodlight: Shrink the lamp head backward to widen the light beam for broader area illumination.

3.3 Power Bank Function

The flashlight can be used as a portable power bank to charge other devices, such as mobile phones, in outdoor or emergency situations.

  1. Locate the USB output port, usually next to the Type-C input port.
  2. Connect your device's charging cable to the flashlight's USB output port.
  3. Connect the other end of the cable to your mobile phone or other compatible device.
  4. The flashlight will begin charging your device.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

  • Wipe the flashlight body with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and debris.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these may damage the aluminum alloy finish.
  • Keep the lens clean for optimal light output. Use a lens cleaning cloth if necessary.

4.2 Storage

  • Store the flashlight in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • If storing for an extended period, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50-70%) to prolong its lifespan. Recharge every 3-6 months.

4.3 Waterproofing

The flashlight features a sealed body structure, making it waterproof and fearless of rain. This effectively prevents rainwater from infiltrating and protects internal parts.
