1. Introduction

The GIEC G5600 is a state-of-the-art 4KUHD Blu-ray player designed to deliver an immersive audio-visual experience. Equipped with advanced decoding capabilities, it supports a wide range of disc formats and digital media playback from USB and internal hard drives. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your player to ensure optimal performance.

2. Safety Information

  • Ensure the player is placed on a stable, level surface to prevent accidental falls.
  • Do not expose the unit to rain, moisture, or extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid blocking ventilation openings to prevent overheating.

4. Setup

4.1 Remote Control Battery Installation

Before using the remote control, install two AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment, ensuring correct polarity.

4.2 Power Connection

Connect the Blu-ray player to a power supply using the provided power cord. Ensure the TV or display screen is also connected to its power supply.

4.3 HDMI Connection

Locate the HDMI (VIDEO/AUDIO) interface on the back of the Blu-ray player and the HDMI input on your TV or display screen. Connect both ends of the HDMI cable securely.

4.4 Hard Drive Installation (Optional)

If you wish to use an internal hard drive, turn off the player, open the hard disk box, and carefully insert your 3.5-inch SATA hard drive (up to 16TB) into the compartment. Close the box securely.

  • 2. High-Speed USB 3.0 Interface: For external USB drives and hard drives, supporting up to 5.0Gbps transmission.
  • 3. Coaxial Digital Audio Interface: For digital coaxial transmission with minimal timing error, supporting 2.0, 2.1, and 5.1 channel digital audio tracks.
  • 4. Optical Digital Audio Interface: For optical fiber connections, improving signal-to-noise ratio of the DAC, supporting 2.0, 2.1, and 5.1 channel digital audio tracks.
  • 5. Gigabit Ethernet Port: 1Gb/s communication bandwidth for local networks, DLNA servers, SMB shared files, and NAS devices.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Disc Playback

  1. Ensure the player is powered on and connected to your display.
  2. Press the 'Eject' button on the remote control or the player to open the disc tray.
  3. Place a compatible disc (e.g., Blu-ray, DVD, CD) gently into the tray.
  4. Press the 'Eject' button again to close the tray. The player will automatically load and begin playback.

5.2 Hard Drive / USB Playback

  1. Ensure your hard drive is installed or a USB drive is connected to the USB 3.0 port.
  2. Using the remote control, navigate to the 'Video', 'Music', or 'Photo' section on the player's main menu.
  3. Select 'Local Playback' and browse the root directory of your connected storage device.
  4. Select the desired file to begin playback.

8. Maintenance

8.1 Cleaning
