1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the safe and effective use of your new Digital Water Tester. This versatile 4-in-1 device is designed to accurately measure Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Electrical Conductivity (EC), and temperature (in both Celsius and Fahrenheit) in various water sources. It features a backlit LCD display and an auto-lock function for user convenience. The Digital Water Tester is an essential tool for monitoring water quality in applications such as drinking water, Reverse Osmosis (RO)/Deionized (DI) systems, aquariums, hydroponics, pools, and spas.

3. Unpacking and Setup

3.1 Unpacking Inspection

After opening the package, verify that the product is complete and undamaged. Ensure all components listed in the "Package Contents" section are present.

3.2 Installation and Setup

Correctly install product components following the steps outlined in this manual. The device requires a 3V button battery (not included). Insert the battery into the designated compartment, ensuring correct polarity.

4. Operation

4.1 Normal Operation

Power on the device and operate it according to the instructions provided. The device features a backlit LCD display for easy reading and an auto-lock function to stabilize readings.

  1. Power On/Off: Press the "ON/OFF HOLD" button to turn the device on or off.
  2. Measurement: Immerse the probe into the water sample. The device will automatically display readings for TDS, EC, and temperature.
  3. Mode Selection: Press the "MODE" button to switch between different measurement units (e.g., ppm, us/cm, °C, °F).
  4. Hold Function: While taking a reading, press the "ON/OFF HOLD" button briefly to hold the current reading on the display. Press again to release.
  5. Clear Function: Press the "CLEAR" button to clear the current reading or reset the device.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

Wipe off surface dust or stains promptly after use. When not in use, store the product in a dry, well-ventilated location. Avoid high humidity environments. Do not immerse the entire device in water; only the probe should be submerged during testing. Clean the probe gently with distilled water after each use to ensure accurate readings.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Digital Water Tester, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Display/Faint Display: Check if the 3V button battery is correctly installed and has sufficient charge. Replace the battery if necessary.
  • Inaccurate Readings: Ensure the probe is clean. Rinse it with distilled water and dry it before re-testing. Make sure the probe is fully immersed in the water sample without touching the bottom or sides of the container.
  • Device Not Responding: Try removing and reinserting the battery to perform a soft reset. If the issue persists, contact customer support.

8. User Tips

  • For best accuracy, allow the meter to stabilize in the water sample for a few seconds before reading.
  • Always store the meter with a clean, dry probe.
  • Avoid exposing the meter to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
  • Calibrate the meter regularly if precise measurements are critical for your application.
