5. Setup

Before operating the JDiag M200 Pro, ensure all components are present and correctly connected.

5.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection

  1. Carefully open the product packaging.
  2. Remove the main unit, cables, and accessories.
  3. Inspect all items for any signs of damage.
  4. Familiarize yourself with the main unit and its buttons (ESC, OK, F1-F4).

5.2 Connecting the Device

The connection method depends on the function you intend to use (e.g., diagnosis, battery test, signal simulation).

  1. For Motorcycle Diagnosis:
    Connect the appropriate diagnostic cable (e.g., OBD-16pin, specific brand cable) to the M200 Pro's port. Then, connect the other end of the cable to your motorcycle's diagnostic port. Ensure a secure connection.
  2. For Battery Testing:
    Connect the power clamp battery test cable to the M200 Pro. Attach the red clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the battery and the black clamp to the negative (-) terminal.
  3. For ECU Remap:
    Connect the M200 Pro to the motorcycle's ECU using the appropriate cable. Ensure the ignition is off and the battery is not removed during the process.
  4. For Relay Test:
    Connect the relay test socket to the M200 Pro. Insert the relay into the socket.

6. Operating Instructions

Navigate the M200 Pro using the ESC (Escape), OK (Enter), and directional buttons (up, down, left, right) for menu selection and input.

6.1 ECU Remap

  1. From the main menu, select "ECU Remap".
  2. Choose the motorcycle brand (e.g., Honda).
  3. Select the specific ECU remap system (e.g., KEIHIN system).
  4. Establish communication with the ECU.
  5. Select the REMAP file size from the available options.
  6. Confirm the execution of the function. Follow on-screen prompts: "Do not turn off the ignition", "Do not remove the battery".
  7. Once complete, restart the car/motorcycle as instructed.

6.2 Motorcycle Diagnostics

  1. From the main menu, select "DIAGNOSIS".
  2. Choose the motorcycle brand (e.g., Honda).
  3. Select the model or use "AUTO SCAN".
  4. Establish communication with the ECU.
  5. Select desired diagnostic function:
    • Live data: View real-time sensor readings (e.g., engine speed, TP sensor voltage, battery voltage).
    • Freeze Frame Data: View data recorded at the moment a fault code was set.
    • Read Fault Code: Display current and stored diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
    • Erase Fault Code: Clear DTCs from the ECU.
    • Configuration: Adjust specific settings if available.

6.3 Battery Diagnostics

  1. From the main menu, select "BATTERY".
  2. Choose the test type: Quick, Standard, Start, Charge.
  3. Specify battery location: In-Vehicle or Out-Of-Vehicle.
  4. Select battery type: Regular Flooded, AGM Flat Plate, AGM Spiral, GEL, EFB.
  5. Follow on-screen instructions, such as turning off the engine and all automotive electrical components.
  6. Input the battery's CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) rating.
  7. The device will perform the test and display results including voltage, rated CCA, measured CCA, State of Charge (SOC), and resistance.

6.4 Signal Simulation

  1. From the main menu, select "Signal Out".
  2. Choose the signal type to simulate: Crankshaft Signal, PWM Signal, Injector Signal, Ignition Signal.
  3. Adjust parameters like engine speed, signal type, frequency, duty cycle, or injection time as needed.

6.5 Injector Testing / Signal Detection

  1. From the main menu, select "Injector".
  2. Choose "Injector Test" or "Injector Signal Detection".
  3. For Injector Test, select a mode (MODE1, MODE2, MODE3, MODE4) to clean the fuel injectors. Connect a cleaning agent as instructed.
  4. For Injector Signal Detection, the device will analyze the injector's signal.

6.6 Relay Detection

  1. From the main menu, select "Relay Test".
  2. Connect the relay test socket to the M200 Pro.
  3. Insert the relay into the socket.
  4. The device will perform the test and indicate the relay's status (ON/OFF) and functionality.

6.7 Data Printing

  1. After completing a diagnostic test (e.g., battery test), the device may prompt for printing.
  2. Enter the SN (Serial Number) if required.
  3. Confirm printing. The built-in thermal printer will print the diagnostic results.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Software Updates

The M200 Pro supports WiFi online updates and SD card updates.

  • WiFi Update: Connect the device to a WiFi network. From the main menu, select "SETUP" then "WiFi Update" and follow the on-screen instructions. Ensure a stable internet connection during the update process.
  • SD Card Update: Download the latest software from the official JDiag website to an SD card. Insert the SD card into the device and follow the update prompts.

  • Keep the device clean and free from dust and moisture.

  • Inaccurate readings during battery test: Ensure the battery clamps are securely attached to the correct terminals (red to positive, black to negative) and that the battery type and CCA rating are correctly entered.
