1. Introduction

The SANSUI E35 is a versatile portable radio and music player designed for ease of use and portability. It offers comprehensive radio reception across FM, AM (MW), and Shortwave (SW) bands, combined with modern digital music playback capabilities via USB and TF card. Additionally, it features a high-fidelity speaker, a powerful LED flashlight, and a long-lasting detachable battery, making it suitable for various scenarios from home listening to outdoor activities.

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the radio (refer to Figure 3.3).
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert the provided rechargeable battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2 Charging the Battery

  1. Connect the charging cable (USB-C or Micro USB) to the radio's charging port.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
  3. The LED indicator will illuminate red, signifying that the device is charging.
  4. The red light will turn off once the battery is fully charged.
  5. A full charge typically takes 2-3 hours.

4.3 Power On/Off

  • To turn the radio ON or OFF, long press the Power button (located on the top of the unit) for approximately 3 seconds.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Radio Mode (FM/AM/SW)

  1. Turn on the radio using the Power button.
  2. Extend the telescopic antenna for optimal reception, especially for FM and SW bands.
  3. Use the 'Band Adjustment' switch (SW, MW, FM1-2) to select your desired frequency band.
  4. Manual Tuning: Rotate the 'Tuning Wheel' to scan for radio stations.
  5. Digital Tuning: Use the numeric keypad to directly input the desired frequency. For example, to tune to FM 103.7 MHz, press '1', '0', '3', '7'.

5.2 MP3 Player Mode (USB/TF Card)

  1. Insert a TF card into the TF card slot or a USB drive into the USB port.
  2. The radio should automatically switch to MP3 playback mode. If not, press the 'Mode Button' to cycle through modes until MP3 mode is active.
  3. Use the 'Previous Track' and 'Next Track' buttons to navigate between songs.
  4. For digital song selection, use the numeric keypad to directly input the song number (e.g., press '1', '6' for song number 16).
  5. The playing time on a full charge is approximately 4-10 hours, depending on volume level.

5.3 Bluetooth Connection

  1. Long press the Power button to turn on the speaker.
  2. The LED indicator will flash blue, indicating it is in pairing mode.
  3. On your phone or other Bluetooth device, open the Bluetooth settings, search for the speaker (usually named 'BT-Speaker-01' or similar), and connect.
  4. Once connected, the LED indicator will show a solid blue light. You can now play music and answer calls through the speaker.

5.4 AUX Mode

  1. Connect a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) from your external audio device to the radio's earphone jack (which also functions as an AUX input).
  2. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode.

5.5 Volume Control

  • Short press the 'Volume +' button to increase the volume.
  • Short press the 'Volume -' button to decrease the volume.

5.6 LED Flashlight

  • Use the 'Flashlight Switch' (located on the top of the radio) to turn the powerful LED flashlight ON or OFF.

6. Maintenance

  • Keep the device dry. Avoid using it in high temperature, humid, or dusty environments.
  • Clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • When not in use for extended periods, fully charge the battery and store the device in a cool, dry place.
  • Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the device yourself. Contact customer support if needed.

7. Troubleshooting
