3. Installation and Setup
3.1 Handle Direction Adjustment
The handle direction can be adjusted to suit your door's orientation. Follow these steps to change the handle position:

- Remove the screws holding the handle in place.
- Twist the doorknob to the opposite direction.
- Rotate the round component 180 degrees, ensuring the marked small arrow is facing down.
- Tighten the screws.
- Repeat for the other side if necessary.
3.2 Lock Installation

Important: Ensure all cables are properly connected and secured before fastening the panels. Install 4x 1.5V AA batteries (not included) into the battery box on the back panel after installation is complete.
4. Operating Instructions
Your smart lock offers several convenient ways to unlock your door:
4.1 Fingerprint Unlocking
Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor. The lock will verify your fingerprint and unlock the door.

4.2 Password Unlocking (Keypad)
Enter your registered password on the keypad. The lock supports virtual passwords to prevent others from peeping your code. You can enter random numbers before or after your actual password.

4.3 IC Card Unlocking
Swipe your registered IC card over the card sensor area on the front panel to unlock the door.

4.4 Mechanical Key Unlocking
In case of emergency or preference, you can use the provided mechanical keys to unlock the door. The keyhole is typically located at the bottom edge of the front panel.

4.5 App Control (WIFI)
Connect your smart lock to the Tuya Smart app via WiFi for remote control and management. This allows you to unlock the door from anywhere, manage users, view access logs, and more.

To set up app control:
- Download the "Tuya Smart" app from your smartphone's app store.
- Register or log in to your Tuya account.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add your smart lock device.
- Ensure your lock is within WiFi range for optimal connectivity.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Battery Replacement
The lock is powered by 4x 1.5V AA batteries (not included). When the battery level is low, the lock will provide a low battery warning. Replace all four batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.
5.2 Emergency Power Supply
In the event that the batteries completely run out and you cannot unlock the door, you can use an external power bank to temporarily power the lock. Connect a power bank to the USB charging port located on the back panel of the lock.

6. Troubleshooting
- Lock not responding: Check battery levels and replace if necessary. If batteries are new, try using the emergency power supply.
- Fingerprint not recognized: Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Re-register your fingerprint if issues persist.
- Password not working: Double-check the entered password. Ensure you are using the correct sequence, especially with the virtual password feature.
- App connectivity issues: Ensure your lock is within WiFi range and your router is functioning correctly. Restart the lock and your router if needed.
- Voice prompts not in desired language: Refer to the language codes in the introduction section to change the voice prompt language.
