This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your new car multimedia system. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure proper functionality and safety.

Vehicle Compatibility

This multimedia player is specifically designed for:

• BMW X1 E84 (2009-2012)

Important: This unit is only compatible with original cars that do NOT have a factory-installed screen.

Specifications

The Navifly multimedia player comes in various configurations (M90S, M95S, M200S, M400S, M700S, M800S) with differing hardware specifications. Please refer to the table below for details:

The package contents vary slightly depending on the model (M90S/M95S vs. M200S-M800S). Please check your specific model's inclusions:

For M90S / M95S Models:

Setup and Installation

Professional installation is recommended. Ensure the vehicle's power is disconnected before starting installation. Refer to the wiring diagrams for correct connections.

Cooling Fan Setup (M200S - M800S)

For models M200S to M800S, a cooling fan is included to manage high temperatures. To activate the cooling fan:

1. Connect the cooling fan cable to the designated port on the back of the unit.
2. Go to Settings -> Device -> Sound.
3. In the Sound settings, locate and turn 'AMP ON'.
4. The cooling fan will start working.

SIM Card Insertion (M200S - M800S)

For models M200S to M800S, which support 4G LTE, insert the SIM card with the chip facing the system module and the bevel outward. The machine includes two SIM card slots: one on the back of the main unit and one on the RCA cable.

Operating Instructions

This section details the various functions and how to operate them.

Main Menu Operation

The main menu provides access to all applications. You can customize the icon positions for quick access to frequently used apps.

Radio (FM/AM RDS)

The unit supports FM/AM radio with RDS (Radio Data System). You can perform automatic or manual searches for stations and organize them in a channel list.

Bluetooth Hands-Free and Music Playback

Connect your smartphone via Bluetooth for hands-free calling and wireless music streaming. You can sync your phonebook and make calls directly from the unit.

• Hands-Free Calling: Dial numbers, view call history, and sync contacts.
• Bluetooth Music: Stream audio from your paired device.

Multimedia Playback (Music & Video)

The unit supports various digital media formats including WMA, MP4, MP3, and JPEG. Enjoy 1080P video playback with true color 24 HD-Display.

Digital Sound Processor (DSP)

Models M200S, M400S, M700S, and M800S feature a built-in DSP for enhanced audio quality. Adjust equalizer settings, surround space, bass enhancement, and bass filter to customize your listening experience.

CarPlay & Android Auto

Models M95S, M200S, M400S, M700S, and M800S come with built-in Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. This allows seamless integration of your smartphone's features, including navigation, music, and messaging, directly on the car's display.

• Wireless CarPlay (iOS): Connect via Bluetooth, then select 'Car Link' and wait for connection. Can also connect via USB cable.
• Wireless Android Auto (Android): Connect via Bluetooth, then select 'Car Link' and wait for connection. Can also connect via USB cable.

GPS Navigation

The unit features a built-in global positioning system with omni-directional map display. It supports various navigation map software like iGO, Yandex, and Google Maps, providing real-time traffic conditions and accurate positioning.

WiFi & 4G LTE Connectivity

Built-in WiFi allows you to connect to your cellphone's hotspot for internet access. Models M200S-M800S also include a built-in 4G LTE module for cellular network connectivity, enabling online navigation, music, and video streaming anywhere.

• 5GHz WiFi (802.11 b/g/n): Supported by M200S, M400S, M700S, M800S for fast transmission, low latency, wide coverage, and stable connection.

Split-Screen Mode

The split-screen function allows two applications to be displayed simultaneously, enhancing convenience and multitasking. For example, you can view navigation on one side and play music or a video on the other.

Intelligent Voice Control (Optional)

With the optional voice control feature, you can operate the unit hands-free by simply speaking commands. This enhances driving safety. It supports multiple languages including English, Russian, Arabic, French, Spanish, Italian, German, and Portuguese.

Button Light Customization

You can customize the color of the physical buttons on the unit to match your car's interior lighting or your personal preference. Choose from a variety of colors in the settings.

Day/Night UI Interface Switching

The user interface can automatically switch between day and night modes for optimal visibility and reduced eye strain depending on ambient light conditions.

Steering Wheel Control

The head unit supports steering wheel controls (SWC), allowing you to manage music and hands-free calling functions without taking your hands off the wheel. This unit works with a digital SWC. If your original car does not have steering wheel buttons, an optional BT steering wheel button accessory can be purchased (supports M200S-M800S systems only).

Rear View Camera Input (Optional)

The unit supports AHD rear-view cameras. When reversing, the screen automatically switches to display the car's rear view with parking lines, providing clearer imaging than ordinary cameras. (Rear View Camera is not included and must be purchased separately).

ADAS DVR Support (Optional)

The unit supports an optional ADAS DVR (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems Digital Video Recorder). This anti-collision warning driving recorder provides front vehicle distance prediction, anti-collision warnings, and lane departure warnings to enhance driving safety. (DVR is not included and must be purchased separately).

OBD II Support (Optional)

With the optional OBD II function, you can monitor your car's status in real-time, diagnose issues, and retrieve fault codes from the vehicle's computer. (OBDII module is not included and must be purchased separately).

Full AV Output Support (Optional, M200S - M800S)

For M200S, M400S, M700S, and M800S models, the unit supports full AV output, allowing you to connect external displays (e.g., headrest monitors) to mirror the content from the main unit. This function requires purchasing additional accessories (RCA Port or HDMI-compatible adapter).

Other Optional Accessories

Enhance your driving experience with additional optional accessories:

• DAB+ Adapter: For Digital Audio Broadcasting, providing better sound quality and stronger signal (EU countries only).
• TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System): Monitors tire pressure to prevent sudden tire problems.

Maintenance

• Screen Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the screen. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Software Updates: Periodically check for software updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features. Updates can usually be found in the system settings or on the manufacturer's website.
• Temperature Management: Ensure proper ventilation around the unit, especially for models with a cooling fan, to prevent overheating during long periods of use or in hot climates.
• Cable Connections: Periodically check all cable connections to ensure they are secure and free from damage.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• Unit does not power on:
  • Check all power connections to ensure they are securely attached.
  • Verify the vehicle's fuse for the radio is intact.
• No sound:
  • Check volume levels on the unit and your phone (if connected via Bluetooth).
  • Ensure speaker wires are correctly connected.
  • Verify the AMP ON setting is enabled if your model has a cooling fan and requires it for audio output.
• GPS signal is weak or inaccurate:
  • Ensure the GPS antenna is properly installed and has a clear view of the sky.
  • Check GPS settings in the unit to ensure location services are enabled.
• Bluetooth connection issues:
  • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both the unit and your phone.
  • Delete previous pairings and try re-pairing the devices.
  • Move closer to the unit if experiencing range issues.
• CarPlay/Android Auto not connecting:
  • Ensure your phone's operating system is up to date.
  • Verify Bluetooth is connected before initiating Car Link.
  • Try connecting with a USB cable if wireless connection fails.
• Screen unresponsive or frozen:
  • Perform a soft reset by pressing the RST button (if available) or by turning off the vehicle and restarting.
  • If persistent, check for software updates.
