4. Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance of your GreenYi car camera. Follow these steps carefully:

4.1 Wiring Diagram

• Power Connection: Connect the red wire to the reversing light positive (+) and the black wire to ground (GND). The camera supports 12V~24V power input.
• Video Output: Connect the yellow Video Out cable from the camera to the Video In port on your monitor.
• Trigger Wire: The trigger wire (often integrated with the video cable) should be connected to the brake light or reverse light positive to automatically activate the camera when reversing.

4.2 Cable Control Functions

The camera features three control cables (Brown, White, Green) for customizing its behavior:

  • Cut the brown cable: Switches to CVBS (1280x720, 170°).
• White Cable (Mirror Control):
  
  • Default: Rearview camera (Mirroring).
  • Cut the white cable: Switches to Front view camera (Non-mirroring). You can also manually rotate the camera sphere 90° for a side camera effect.
• Green Cable (Parking Line Control):
  
  • To toggle the parking lines on/off, cut the green cable and then reconnect the camera's power supply.

4.3 AHD Monitor Compatibility

If you are using an AHD1080P camera with an Android unit, ensure your unit supports AHD1080P. If AHD1080P cannot be selected, your monitor may not support it. To check and configure:

1. Go to Car settings.
2. Navigate to Factory settings.
3. Find Reverse (picture) settings.
4. Select AHD1080P.

Note: Cameras with CVBS video signals are universally compatible with all monitors, but AHD signals only work with AHD-compatible monitors.
