7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Common Issues and Solutions
- Monitor does not power on:
- Check all power connections (BAT, ACC, Ground) to ensure they are secure and correctly wired.
- Verify the vehicle's power source is active.
- Check the cigarette lighter connection if used.
- No camera signal/black screen:
- Ensure camera cables are securely connected to both the cameras and the monitor.
- Check for any damage to the camera cables.
- Verify the cameras are receiving power.
- If using an RCA camera, ensure the 4PIN to RCA adapter is correctly installed.
- CarPlay/Android Auto not connecting:
- Ensure your phone's WiFi and Bluetooth are enabled.
- Confirm your phone is paired with the monitor's Bluetooth (T59CARPLAY-XXX).
- Try restarting both your phone and the monitor.
- Ensure your phone's operating system is up to date.
- Poor FM audio quality:
- Ensure the monitor's FM frequency matches your car's FM radio frequency.
- Check the FM Antenna Enhancement connection.
- Adjust the volume on both the monitor and your car stereo.
- Recorded video quality is poor or recordings are missing:
- Ensure a Class 10 or higher Micro SD/TF card is inserted and properly formatted.
- Check if the SD card is full; loop recording should overwrite old files, but a faulty card can cause issues.
- Verify camera lenses are clean and free from obstructions.
8. User Tips
- FM Radio Connectivity: For optimal audio experience, you can connect the monitor's radio output to your vehicle's existing FM radio by tuning both devices to the same FM frequency. This allows the monitor's audio (from CarPlay/Android Auto, etc.) to play through your car's speakers.
- Cable Management: When installing, take care to route cables neatly and securely to avoid interference with vehicle operation and to protect them from wear and tear.
- SD Card Maintenance: Periodically format your SD card (at least once a month) to maintain optimal recording performance and prevent data corruption.
