5.4. Setting Options
| Menu | Function Parameters | Adjustment Range | Explanation | Default Value |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1. | Speed | 50-150 | Adjust the parameter value when there is an error between HUD and dashboard. E.g., if the dashboard shows 100 KM/H and HUD shows 105 KM/H, adjust the parameter value to 102 (107-5). | 107 |
| 2. | Over speed alarm | 30-250 | Sets the speed at which the HUD will give an alarm. | 150 |
| 3. | Fatigue driving alarm | 1.0-8.0 | Sets the interval (in hours) after which the HUD will give a fatigue driving alarm. | 4.0 |
| 4. | Brightness adjustment | 0-11 | 0 = automatic sensitivity adjustment. 1-11 = manual adjustment (1=darkest, 11=brightest). Brightness increases from 1 to 11. | 0 |
| 5. | Speed unit | 0-1 | 0 = KM/H (kilometers per hour). 1 = MPH (miles per hour). | 0 |
| 6. | Factory reset | 0-1 | Default = 0. Set to 1 and long press for 3 seconds to save and exit to reset. | 0 |

6. Maintenance
The G1 HUD requires minimal maintenance. Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the screen or casing.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your G1 HUD, please refer to the following troubleshooting guide:
- Screen without any display or no power:
- Check if the USB cable is damaged. Try replacing it with another USB cable for testing.
- Ensure the power supply voltage is not higher than 5V.
- No car speed displayed:
- After HUD power-on, the satellite icon will flash as it searches for a satellite signal.
- Drive the car to an open road. The HUD will start displaying speed once the satellite icon stops flashing and a stable GPS signal is acquired.
- Inaccurate Speed:
- First, verify that the speed unit (KM/H or MPH) is correctly set in the settings menu (refer to Section 5.4, Menu 5).
- Car manufacturers often calibrate dashboard speed to be 5-7% higher than the actual speed (based on satellite data). If your dashboard shows 100 and the HUD shows 105, you can adjust the parameter value in the settings (refer to Section 5.4, Menu 1) to correct this discrepancy (e.g., set to 102).
- Driving direction display error:
- The driving direction will be displayed normally once the vehicle speed exceeds 5 KM/H.
- Speed is still displayed after the car stops:
- In areas with obstructions such as underground parking lots, tunnels, or underpasses, satellite signal may be unstable, leading to temporary speed display even when stationary. This is normal behavior due to GPS signal limitations.
- To turn off/on the buzzer:
- Long push the wave button to the left for 2 seconds to turn off the buzzer alarm. Repeat the action to turn it back on.

9. User Tips
- Initial GPS Lock: When first powering on or after a long period of inactivity, the satellite icon may flash. Drive the vehicle to an open area to help the device acquire a stable GPS signal faster.
- Speed Accuracy: If you notice a consistent difference between the HUD's speed and your car's dashboard speedometer, use the "Speed" adjustment setting (Menu 1) to calibrate it for better accuracy.
- Compass Functionality: The driving direction (compass) will only display accurately once your vehicle is moving above 5 KM/H.
- No Water Temperature Display: Please note that this device is a GPS speedometer and does not display engine parameters such as water temperature.
- Power Consumption: The G1 HUD is designed for zero power consumption when the car is turned off, as it uses a short power supply from the USB or cigarette lighter.
