Cleaning:

To maintain optimal performance, regularly clean the scanner's scan window and exterior. Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the device.

Troubleshooting

This section addresses common questions and issues you might encounter.

General Issues:

  • Scanner not connecting: Ensure the USB cable is securely plugged in for wired models, the 2.4G dongle is inserted for wireless models, or Bluetooth is properly paired for BT models. Check device manager for driver issues.
  • Scanner not reading barcodes:
    • Ensure the barcode is clean, undamaged, and within the scanner's optimal reading distance.
    • Verify the scanner is in the correct scanning mode (Manual, Continuous, Auto-sensing).
    • Check if the barcode type is supported by your scanner model (1D Laser vs. 2D CMOS).
    • Adjust ambient lighting if necessary.
  • Poor scanning performance: For 2D Image/CMOS scanners, ensure the barcode is flat and not excessively reflective or wrinkled.

Quality and Performance:

EVAWGIB products undergo rigorous quality control processes to ensure stable performance:

  • Quality Assurance: A professional QC team utilizes various testing machines, including engine age testing, wire bending machine, switch life testing, and shock resistance testing. All products are certified to CE, FCC, and RoHS standards.
  • Stable Performance: Products follow a strict flow line production process, with each unit undergoing at least four tests before delivery to ensure consistent and reliable operation.

User Tips

  • Offline Storage: For wireless and Bluetooth models, if the scanner moves out of transmission range (e.g., beyond 150 meters for 2.4G wireless or 10 meters for Bluetooth), scanned codes will be stored in the internal 512KB memory. The data will automatically upload to the connected device once the scanner is back in range. This feature is particularly useful for inventory tasks in large areas.
  • Optimal Scanning: For best results, hold the scanner at an appropriate distance from the barcode, typically between 5-20 cm, ensuring the entire barcode is within the scanning beam or window.
