4. Setup Guide

4.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the printer and all accessories from the packaging. Ensure all components are present: printer unit, power adapter, USB cable, and any included sample paper rolls.

4.2 Loading Paper

  1. Press the 'OPEN' button or latch on the side of the printer to open the top cover.
  2. Remove the paper roll holder if present.
  3. Place the thermal paper roll into the compartment, ensuring the printing side faces upwards and the paper feeds smoothly from the bottom of the roll.
  4. Adjust the paper guides to fit the width of the paper roll.
  5. Close the top cover firmly until it clicks into place.

4.3 Connecting Power

Connect the power adapter to the printer's power input port and then plug the adapter into a suitable electrical outlet (100-240V).

4.4 Connecting to a Device

The Xprinter 365B supports both USB and Bluetooth connections.

  • USB Connection: Connect the printer to your computer using the provided USB cable.
  • Bluetooth Connection: For Android and iOS devices, enable Bluetooth on your device and pair with the printer. Refer to your device's Bluetooth pairing instructions.

4.5 Driver Installation

To ensure proper functionality, install the appropriate drivers for your operating system. Drivers for Windows, Android, iOS, Mac, and Linux are available for download from the official Xprinter website:

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

Use the power switch located on the printer to turn it on or off. The 'ON LINE' indicator light will illuminate when the printer is ready.

5.2 Printing Labels

The printer can operate in Label Mode for printing various types of labels, including barcodes and product stickers. Ensure the correct label roll is loaded. The maximum print speed for labels is 127mm/s.

5.3 Printing Receipts

To print receipts, ensure a thermal receipt paper roll is loaded. The printer supports a high receipt print speed of 220mm/s.

5.4 Software Usage and Mobile Printing

The printer supports editing and printing of 1D/2D barcodes, QR codes, pictures, and Excel data. Mobile Bluetooth printing is supported for Android and iOS devices via compatible applications.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Print Head

To maintain print quality, regularly clean the thermal print head. Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cable. Use a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol to gently wipe the print head. Allow it to dry completely before use.

6.2 General Care

  • Keep the printer in a clean, dust-free environment.
  • Avoid exposing the printer to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents on the printer's exterior.
  • Ensure proper ventilation around the printer to prevent overheating.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Printer Not Responding

  • Check if the power cable is securely connected and the printer is turned on.
  • Verify the USB or Bluetooth connection is active and correctly established.
  • Ensure the correct printer driver is installed and selected on your computer or mobile device.

7.2 Poor Print Quality

  • Check the thermal paper roll. Ensure it is loaded correctly and is of good quality.
  • Clean the print head as described in the Maintenance section.
  • Adjust print density settings in your printer software, if available.

7.3 Paper Jam

  • Turn off the printer and open the top cover.
  • Carefully remove any jammed paper. Avoid tearing the paper inside the mechanism.
  • Ensure the paper roll is loaded correctly and the paper guides are properly adjusted.
  • Close the cover and restart the printer.

7.4 Indicator Lights

  • ON LINE: Indicates the printer is powered on and ready for operation.
  • ERROR: Indicates a fault, such as a paper jam or print head overheating.
  • PAUSE: Indicates the printer is paused. Press the button to resume.
  • FEED: Used to manually feed paper.

8. User Tips

  • Driver and Application: Always download the latest drivers and applications from the official Xprinter website for optimal performance and compatibility.
  • Android App Compatibility: Some users have inquired about compatibility with specific Android apps like "Rawbt". While the printer supports Android, specific app compatibility may vary. Refer to the Xprinter application page or contact support for details on supported third-party applications.
  • Paper Roll Size: Take advantage of the printer's capacity for large paper rolls (up to 82mm diameter) to reduce the frequency of paper changes.
  • Print Head Longevity: Regular cleaning of the print head is crucial for maintaining print quality and extending the life of your printer.
