6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Connectivity Issues

  • 2.4 GHz / Bluetooth not connecting: Ensure the keyboard's mode switch is set correctly ('G' for 2.4GHz, 'BT' for Bluetooth). For Bluetooth, ensure your device's Bluetooth is on and the keyboard is in pairing mode. Try re-pairing.
  • Wired connection not working: Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and your computer, and the keyboard switch is set to 'Cable'. Try a different USB port or cable.

6.2 Keys Not Responding / Incorrect Input

  • Individual keys not working: If you have a hot-swappable version, try reseating the switch or replacing it with a known working switch.
  • Incorrect characters: Ensure the operating system switch (Win/Android or Mac/iOS) on the keyboard is set to match your current operating system.
  • QMK/VIA issues: If you've customized your layout, ensure the firmware was flashed correctly. Try resetting the keyboard to factory defaults if issues persist (refer to Keychron's support for specific reset procedures).

6.3 Battery and Charging

  • Keyboard not charging: Ensure the USB-C cable is properly connected and the power source is active. The keyboard charges in wired mode.
  • Short battery life: Backlight usage significantly impacts battery life. Reduce backlight brightness or turn it off to extend usage time.
