8. Maintenance
8.1 Cleaning the Probe and Lens
The probe is IP67 waterproof, but proper cleaning is essential for longevity and clear imaging.
- After each use, especially in wet or dirty environments, gently wipe the probe and lens with a soft, dry cloth.
- If the lens has water stains, ensure they are dried completely before storage to prevent mineral buildup or fogging.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents on the lens or probe.

8.2 Storage
- Store the borescope and its accessories in the provided carrying case to protect them from dust, impacts, and environmental damage.
- Keep the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) if storing for extended periods to prolong battery life.

9. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device does not power on. | Low battery. | Charge the battery fully. |
| No image on screen. | Probe not connected properly. | Ensure the probe is securely attached. |
| Image is blurry. | Lens is dirty or focal distance is incorrect. | Clean the lens. Ensure the object is within the 2-10cm focal range. |
| Device shuts down unexpectedly. | High temperature protection activated. | Allow the probe to cool down. Avoid using in environments exceeding 90°C for prolonged periods. |
| Cannot save photos/videos. | Micro-SD card full or not inserted correctly. | Check if the 16GB Micro-SD card is properly inserted. Delete old files or format the card (backup important data first). |
10. User Tips
- For optimal image clarity, ensure the area being inspected is well-lit using the adjustable LED lights.
- Practice articulating the probe in an open space before inserting it into confined areas to get a feel for the controls.
- When inspecting engines or other machinery, be mindful of moving parts and hot surfaces.
- Regularly back up important inspection footage from the Micro-SD card to prevent data loss.
