1. Product Overview
This document provides instructions for the original Philips HX962K replacement electric toothbrush handle. This handle is designed to be compatible with Philips electric toothbrush brush heads and charging bases.
2. Setup
- Attach Brush Head: Align the brush head with the metal shaft on the handle and push it down firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure it is securely attached.
- Initial Charge: Before first use, place the toothbrush handle on its compatible Philips charging base. Allow it to charge for at least 24 hours to ensure a full battery. The battery indicator on the handle will show charging status.
3. Operating Instructions
- Power On/Off: Press the power button (top button) once to turn the toothbrush on. Press it again to turn it off.
- Select Brushing Mode: After turning on the toothbrush, press the mode selection button (bottom button) to cycle through the available brushing modes. The illuminated indicator next to each mode name (Clean, White+, Gum Health, Deep Clean) will show the currently selected mode.
- Brushing: Apply a small amount of toothpaste to the brush head. Place the brush head against your teeth at a slight angle towards the gum line. Move the brush slowly across each tooth, allowing the bristles to do the work.
- Battery Indicator: The battery indicator lights at the bottom of the handle provide an estimate of the remaining battery charge. Refer to Figure 2 for location.
4. Maintenance
- After Each Use: Rinse the brush head thoroughly under running water while the handle is still on to remove any remaining toothpaste and debris.
- Clean Handle: Wipe the handle with a damp cloth regularly. Do not immerse the handle in water.
- Replace Brush Head: For optimal performance and hygiene, replace your brush head every three months, or sooner if the bristles are frayed.
- Charging: Keep the handle charged by placing it on its compatible charging base when not in use.
5. Troubleshooting
- Toothbrush not turning on: Ensure the handle is fully charged. Place it on the charger for at least 24 hours.
- Weak vibration: This may indicate a low battery. Recharge the handle.
- Brush head feels loose: Ensure the brush head is pushed down firmly onto the metal shaft until it clicks.
