4.2 Inserting a CD

  1. Ensure the 'HOLD' switch (10) is in the OFF position.
  2. Gently open the CD compartment lid.
  3. Place your CD (CD, CD-RW, MP3, CD-DA, WMA format) onto the spindle, ensuring it clicks into place.
  4. Close the CD compartment lid firmly.

4.3 Connecting Headphones/External Speaker

This CD player does not have an integrated speaker. You must connect headphones or an external speaker to hear audio.

  • Headphones: Plug the 3.5mm stereo earphones (included) into the PHONES jack (12).
  • External Speaker: Connect an external speaker via the 3.5mm audio cable (not included, unless specified) to the PHONES jack (12), or connect wirelessly via Bluetooth (see Section 6).

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Playback

  1. Ensure the 'HOLD' switch (10) is OFF.
  2. Press the Power On/Play/Pause button (6) to turn on the player and begin playback.
  3. Press the Power On/Play/Pause button (6) again to pause playback.
  4. Press the Stop/Shut Down button (7) to stop playback and turn off the player.

5.2 Volume Adjustment

Rotate the VOL dial (11) to increase or decrease the volume to your desired level.

5.3 Track Navigation

  • Next Track: Short press the Next Track/Fast Forward button (5).
  • Previous Track: Short press the Previous Track/Fast Rewind button (4) twice.
  • Fast Forward: Long press the Next Track/Fast Forward button (5).
  • Fast Rewind: Long press the Previous Track/Fast Rewind button (4).
  • Next Album (MP3 only): Press the DIR button (2) to navigate to the next album folder on an MP3 disc.

5.4 Sound Effects (EQ)

Press the Sound Effect button (8) repeatedly to cycle through available sound equalization modes: Normal, BBS, Pop, Jazz, Rock, Classic, etc.

5.5 Anti-Shock Protection (ASP)

The ASP feature helps prevent playback interruptions due to minor shocks or vibrations. It is automatically applied for standard audio CDs. For MP3 discs, you may need to manually activate it by pressing the ASP button (3).

5.6 Key Lock Function

Slide the HOLD/UNHOLD switch (10) to the 'ON' position to lock all buttons. This prevents accidental operation during transport. Slide it to 'OFF' to unlock the buttons.

5.7 Resume Function

The player features a resume function that memorizes the last playback track and starts from where you left off when powered on again.

6. Bluetooth Connection

The HOTT CD711T features Bluetooth 4.2 for wireless connection to compatible audio devices such as Bluetooth speakers or headphones. Note: The CD player acts as a Bluetooth transmitter and cannot connect to mobile phones, computers, or other Bluetooth transmitters.

  1. Ensure the Bluetooth speaker or headphones you wish to connect are in pairing mode. Refer to your audio device's manual for instructions on how to enter pairing mode.
  2. On the CD player, press and hold the Play Mode/Bluetooth button (9) for approximately 30 seconds until the Bluetooth indicator on the LCD display starts flashing, indicating it is searching for devices.
  3. The CD player will automatically attempt to connect to nearby Bluetooth audio devices in pairing mode.
  4. Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator will stop flashing and remain solid. Audio will now play through your connected Bluetooth device.

7. Car Connection

You can connect your HOTT CD711T to your car's audio system using either a 3.5mm AUX cable or, for compatible cars, via Bluetooth.

7.1 Via 3.5mm AUX Cable

If your car audio system has a 3.5mm AUX input, you can connect the CD player directly:

  1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the PHONES jack (12) on the CD player.
  2. Connect the other end of the 3.5mm audio cable to your car's AUX input jack.
  3. Select the AUX input on your car's audio system.
  4. Play your CD as usual, and the audio will be routed through your car's speakers.

7.2 Via Bluetooth (for compatible cars)
