4. Setup and Installation
Careful installation is crucial for optimal performance. It is recommended to have this installed by a professional if you are unfamiliar with car electrical systems.
4.1 Mounting the Camera
The camera is designed for flexible mounting, typically near the license plate for rear view or on the front bumper/grille for front view. Ensure the camera has a clear line of sight and is securely fastened.

4.2 Wiring Diagram
Follow the diagram below for proper connection to your car's monitor/radio and power supply.

Image: Detailed wiring diagram showing connections for video output, power, and trigger wire.
- Connect the Video (out) cable from the camera to the video input of your car's monitor or radio (labeled 'B' in the diagram).
- Connect the Power Cable:
- The Red wire connects to the reversing light positive (+) for rear camera functionality, or to an ACC (Accessory) power source for front camera use.
- The Black wire connects to a ground (GND) point.
- The Trigger Wire (A), typically a thin red wire integrated with the video cable, should be connected to the reversing light positive (+) if using the camera as a rear view camera to automatically trigger the monitor.
4.3 Control Wires for Customization
The camera features three control wires for adjusting its functionality:
- Green wire: Controls the mirror image (flip horizontally). Cut this wire to change the image from mirrored to non-mirrored, or vice-versa.
- White wire: Controls the parking ruler lines. Cut this wire to enable or disable the parking guidelines.
- Orange wire: Controls the video signal format (CCD/CVBS or AHD 720P-25). By default, the camera outputs CCD/CVBS. Cut the orange wire to switch to AHD 720P-25.

4.4 AHD Signal Setting in Car Radio/MP5
If you switch the camera to AHD signal by cutting the orange wire, you must also configure your car radio or MP5 player to receive an AHD signal. Navigate to the factory settings of your head unit and select the appropriate AHD resolution (e.g., AHD-25 / AHD720P).

Image: Screenshot showing how to access 'Factory Setting' and 'Backcar Setting' to select 'AHD-25/AHD720P' for AHD signal input.
5. Operating Instructions
Once installed and configured, the camera operates automatically:
- Rear View: When connected to the reversing light, the camera image will automatically display on your monitor when the vehicle is put into reverse gear.
- Front View: If wired to an ACC power source, the camera can be manually activated via your monitor's input selection or configured to display upon vehicle startup, depending on your head unit's capabilities.
Adjust image orientation (mirror/non-mirror) and parking lines by cutting the respective green and white control wires during installation, as detailed in Section 4.3.
For a visual demonstration of the camera's output, please refer to the video below:

6. Maintenance
To ensure longevity and clear image quality:
- Regularly clean the camera lens with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt, dust, or water spots. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Periodically check all cable connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
- Inspect the camera housing for any signs of damage, especially after car washes or exposure to harsh weather conditions.
7. Troubleshooting
- No image on monitor:
- Check if the camera is receiving power (red and black wires correctly connected).
- Ensure the video cable is securely connected to both the camera and the monitor.
- Verify that the monitor is set to the correct video input channel.
- Fuzzy or distorted image:
- Clean the camera lens.
- Ensure the video signal format (AHD/CVBS) matches your monitor's setting. If using AHD, confirm the orange wire is cut and your monitor is configured for AHD input (see Section 4.4).
- Check for any kinks or damage in the video cable.
- Image is mirrored incorrectly or parking lines are missing/present unexpectedly:
- Review the status of the green (mirror image) and white (parking line) control wires. Ensure they are cut or intact as desired for your preferred display (see Section 4.3).
8. User Tips
- Before finalizing installation, temporarily connect the camera and test all functions (mirror image, parking lines, AHD/CVBS switch) to ensure desired settings are achieved.
- When routing cables, avoid sharp edges and areas with high heat or moving parts to prevent damage.
- For a cleaner installation, consider using cable ties and protective tubing for wiring.
