  3. Select the desired measurement parameter (frequency, period, or duty cycle) to view the results on the LCD.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your JDS2900 Signal Generator, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the casing or screen.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the louvers on the sides of the device are not obstructed to allow for proper airflow and prevent overheating.
  • Cable Care: Handle all cables with care. Avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling that could damage the connectors or wiring.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your JDS2900, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power: Check if the power adapter is securely connected to both the device and the power outlet. Ensure the ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • No Signal Output: Verify that the correct channel is enabled (indicator light on) and that the output cables are properly connected to the BNC ports. Check the amplitude and frequency settings.
  • Incorrect Readings: Ensure that the measurement cables are correctly connected and that the input signal is within the device's specified range.
  • PC Software Connection Issues: Confirm the USB cable is connected, the device is powered on, and the correct drivers (if any) are installed on your computer.

If the problem persists after following these steps, please contact customer support.
